Combat patrol is a meme format and is absolutely going to undergo drastic changes next edition, don't worry too much about it

Combat patrol wants you to build the set in a certain way, but you can and should just ignore that and build how you want and just proxy as needed

Just build what you want. They're your models and if you're playing with anyone that isn't an autistic retard they'll let you use the combat patrol rules regardless.

At best he's a secondary who found himself with an autistic fixation on the lore, and even that he quit reading years ago long before the GW woke shit.

And when other channels(again, before the woke shit) started over taking him because they actually showed the hobby side of things, didn't sound like a faggot with a weird accent, or actually discussed playing the games, he got jealous and angry about losing his audience.

I didn't mean doing anything about the current state of GW.

No models, no games, only old lore and a shitty fake accent, no content that people want to watch. Sargon who isn't even particularly interested in 40k has done more with 40k and GW shit than Arch has, including within the past couple of years getting under that faggot author Mike Brooks' skin so badly just by existing, he managed to become a canon character in the setting.

Honestly the funny part to me about the pandering and my personal headcanon is that its done wonders to deflect from all the genuine fuckery GW does and has done across the years
Back when I was a bona fide tourist when I just wikiwhored, played Space Marine 1 and a pirated copy of Soulstorm once, I used to keep reading nothing but critiques and constant shitting on GW for various fuckheaded choices, and then events like the Mishandling of the End Times among others. Now some pretty janky plastic sculpts, bits of text, and percived slights of their vauge enemies are enough to get people to clap and consoom more product, even self proclaimed marxists. I remember even reading some redditor asking about this charity program that gave free Warhammer to youth clubs and shit. Iirc it turned out to just be more or less being an upgraded beginner set and that they stopped responding pretty quick.

GW is capitalism incarnate in some forms, and people still praise it for surface level pandering, peak pink capitalism, the fat cats will keep getting a hefty payday as long as all the dual income sysadmins or credit card warriors have jerbs

For starters, engaging with the hobby beyond bitching about it would be a good start. This isnt necessarily directed at you, but the way I see it the vast majority of the 'gatekeepers' are also secondaries/no-models that proudly proclaim that they will never ever ever buy Games Workshop products ever. You write yourself off as noncustomers. What's the point in appealing to you? We get it, you dont like primaris marines, cool. Why dont you use Horus Heresy models then? Or the tactical squad you like some much? Maybe make a little effort to hobby?

Even if the redditard troons are never going to buy anything and only want to destroy the franchise and yada yada yada, at least they put up the facade of a potential customer by going "please GW I would give you a million bucks if you trooned out the red space soldier guy!" They are doing a better job at getting GWs attention because its not just endless bitching and whining about everything, and then when paint pots are outselling the entirety of a franchise its more endless bitching and whining when they try anything to spark the remotest interest back in it. It's nonstop, and then its a big-shock-wonder when they aim for a different customer base? What do you honestly expect?

I'm not saying buy all the slop unquestioningly, but when they release something cool you want, celebrate it and grab yourself one. flies with honey and all that. Be the more appealing customer. They are running a business after all.

I have, and I enjoyed it. Owlcat's games have way too much combat to me where it gets really repetitive, but I still look forward to Dark Heresy as well, along with the two last dlc's for Rogue Trader. I'm also still leaking that we cannot romance Argenta cause GW hates us.
