Devastators: 2 Full squads with Avitus(sternguard HB) and full HW devs, 1 half done one.
1 Sternguard squad, 1 unpainted (Conversion type)
3 Tactical Squads (one old 3rd ed)
3 Mark IV tacs (unpainted), 1 Kurtha Sedd Chaplain (Unpainted)
1 Unpainted Tac squad.
1 Thunderfire cannon and Techmarine. I need at least one more for Martellus.

4 GKs and 1 Termi. Will add 1 more GK and 4 more Terminators.

I also want some Custodes, maybe just a squad, 5 spear and 5 sword guys, plus a Telemon and an Achillus (Both unpainted yet). Did I mention I love Dreads?

5 pre GW Skitari, 1 Enginseer male, 1 enginseer female (unpainted), 1 Magos female (unpainted, the non-titty version) and 1 Cawl for a generic Archmagos.

I want to add a few AM squads as a kind of "secondary force" . 1 Vanguard, 1 Ranger, 1 Sicaran, 1 Ruststalker, maybe some FW stuff and an Onager that I'll need to convert to have much more weapons!

I want to add some Primaris Hellblasters (with Mark 7 helms, Mark 3 helms, all cool stuff), a Repulsor, a Primaris Chaplain (REAPER, the Master of Edgity!) and a squad of Reavers (I'm not using the autistic spelling) with converted power swords, not knives.

Maybe some Centurions and Aggressors and Inceptors as well. Wish they came in 10 man boxes, not the 3 man oddity.

Want to add Scouts with Cyrus. Maybe helmet them, I'm bad at faces. Like CWC bad.

I also plan on giving em tanks. Lots and lots of tanks when I save some more cash. Razorbacks, Predators, Land Raiders, mostly FW, and propably a Stormhawk and Stormraven as well!

I also got 10 Space Wolf custom veterans and a Rune Priest. I'll add a Wolf lord and maybe a Wolf head flyer gunship to make a SW mini strikeforce, for Wolfity Wolfness.

I also got 30 boys, 5 nobs, a boss, an oldskool wartrukk and 3 deffkoptas, 10 grots, and 5 very piratey Flash Gitz. I'll add more boys too!

I'll also need an airtight glass closet because I get tired of digging them out from under a pound of dust every month for dusting-off.

I know the models' loadouts are not codex compliant, I just go with the Rule of Cool.

Some stuff is second hand. The Predator is very used, the Titan was too but I got it for 125 euros. Same for the Thunderhawk. The Land Speeder is GW, but the primer (GW as well) actually MELTED it.

Which russian recaster? I might give em a try (is it HF?).

Only Russian one I've tried was Cheap n' Fast. All I got was a $15 Raging Heros figure for a test sample. It wasn't fast at all lol. I mostly just stick to the yoyhammer subreddit.

I got the FW Great Unclean One from a Russian caster, it felt just like any official resin miniature, only for a much more reasonable price. The old Forge World GUO is still leagues better than the new one, which looks more Orky than Nurgley.

Any 3rd party proxies anyone has been interested in? Managed to get a Gideon tank from Mad Robot Miniatures before they stopped making the kit, shame about that.

This is the one. It is 'second hand' of course, the posting IS very slow, but the quality is FW valid and the price is very reasonable.

I generally only use non GW if the FW price is horrible, or with Gabriel Angels, it looks better in pose and the face is wider and not as elongated.

Can anyone ballpark in USD what I could expect to spend on base supplies to get into Warhammer 40k on a casual basis? I'm sure this has been asked before 100 times, so I'm sorry, but I haven't really been able to find a good answer for anything post 2014. Do certain factions cost more?

Off the top of my head:
$5-10 sprue clipper
$5-10 scraper
$5-10 plastic glue
$4-10 per brush (need between 2-3 brushes for basic work, but you can get by with one)
$2-5 per paint bottle (assume 5 different paints per kit, but you can probably get by with two depending on the kit)
