A slightly cooler custodian guard dabs almost everything else in the milky way in coolness factor.

I will say tho, the worst custodes model by far is the venerable land raider. You know its bad when you say the sentence "Thank god there is forge world stuff".

The only problem with their big move to action figures as someone is who really into that scene. Is that their methods and handling of the Japanese imports is complete cancer and has an abysmal accessory count for the price and subject matter.

Old, second-hand info, but I believe the requirement is something like 70% GW model to allow room for customization.

I changed out my Lemans for 3rd party a while back.

my plan is to go full kitbash. so many real world tanks and other vehicle that need very little work to turn into realy 40k looking stuff.

for the leman, im not sure what i will do, if i use a russian or german tank as base or if i will just make a nicer turret and place it on a mark IV.

Even cheap model tanks have so much higher quality than GW stuff...

I saw a really sweet VK1602 Leopard conversion. I hated the basilisk models, so I converted some M-12 155mm GMC models. Didn't do too much yet, mostly some side skirts to make them bulkier.

Flak 88 on a leman body? i havent looked into it to much, but some sort of Flak bus or Marder 3 will do the trick if i find nothing more fitting(im not a fan of using german tanks, they are hard to make look like 40k guard.

I hear ya. The only kit I actually like is the baneblade. Chimera are pretty cool if you slap a predator autocannon on top.

Edit - I don't mind Lemans, but $55 now is insane for what you get. I have a stable of 4 unpainted, fully magnetized ones I'll probably sell.

I want to do a knights army.

I shouldn't do a knights army, because it's stupid and everyone will hate me. I'd also have to go Russian / Chinese recasters, because isn't it like $300 a knight otherwise, with a minimum of 3?

But by god, I want to do a knights army.

More specifically, I want to mix together some Admech and Knights and Space Marines and Custodes and Sisters of Silence. Maybe even Sisters of Battle. (I honestly do more collecting and painting than anything else, so my randomly picking up minis for various purposes has ended up with me having a Sapce Marines army on accident.)

Maybe instead of Knights I should go with some of those Forge World Custodes Dreads. Telemon looks stupid powerful, and apparently eats Knights alive.

What Knight house goes well with Stygies 8, fluff wise?
