I bought a humbrol one for base coats and just do brush work on the rest. Also tip I got from a guy who paints model planes, cheap vodka works well as an acrylic thinner.

Can anybody explain the last paragraph for me? In my head I have it as I roll none stop until everything stands back up but that just doesn’t seem right.

You just count the number of dice 5+ in the initial roll and subtract Wound totals from that number until you get to the point where the number of dice remaining is smaller than the Wounds of any eligible unit.

Has anyone ever put together Deathwatch Killteam units? I got a few torso bits, but, standard helmets don't really fit very well. Looking at the instructions https://imgur.com/gallery/pwcAz

I think the helmets that come with Deathwatch are narrower than standard Tactical Helms. Not by much, a mm or two, but enough that it's a rather tight fit.

Yeah, I think they're just a bit too wide. And beakies are flat out. Hm. We'll see what to do. Maybe if I shave off the little gearwork on far outside of the helmets...

I actually managed to fit a beakie helmet onto one of my Deathwatch minis. It looks a bit awkward, but it works.

I swear MK.8 armor is literally the fucking Windows 8 of Space marine armor patterns isn't it? Another thing is the fact those Death Watch marines themselves were actual true scale marines no? So it makes me question the "Primaris are true scale marines" a lot more. Primaris and AoS were definitely Kirbys last plans to possibly fuck over GW before they kicked him out and Roundtree is basically salvaging these ideas.

The sad thing is what MK8 was supposed to be... but they didn't want to do a sweeping change to the Space Marine designs, because it would look... to clean and scifi (compared to Industrial Gothic).

Those legs and the fat belt kinda look familiar. And having built in power fists in every suit would be interesting.

Translates to "we're nerfing Reanimation Protocols" to me.

I'm a bit salty over this. Ever since 5th edition, Necrons enjoyed the ability to restore lost models in units every turn with the protocols. Looks like that's out the window. I'm hoping all multi-wound models at least get Living Metal as a consolation prize.

"Hmm I do want to use this jewpon deal that GW is shilling, what models can sit in the backlog?"
"Oh I know, Ill get an execution force, assassins are cool and Nemesis is a decent book."

So fucking annoying, if you want people buying shit to get the jewpons, HOW ABOUT YOU STOCK THE SHIT!!!!!

Isn't this a big buff? Before they got all of their shooting or fight phase to try to wipe the squad to prevent reanimation protocols, now it happens as soon as the attack is finished.

Just watched the auspex tactic video it’s a big nerf. Effectively just don’t bother playing multi wound units since you have to equal to the number of successes as to the number of wounds a model has for it to be reanimated.

Eg if two lychguard die but you only roll three successful dice then only one is getting back up. So unless there are new stratagems that allow you to bring back already dead models it’s only work playing Warriors and immortals. Hopefully the HQ’s that have living metal retain the rule.

While I could live with having to roll reanimation per wound rather than per model, the fact is we're going back to 2E version where you check once and that's it. No more reanimating some guy in turn 4 who got smoked in turn 1.

Maybe it's to speed the game along, but it still looks like Necrons are losing out here particularly in terms of army flavor.
