I'd first prime it with Leadbelcher (or a similar color), then paint the walls Iron Warriors (the paint, not the Legion), the beams would be Hashut Copper (or similar color), the rivets would be Ironbreaker (or similar color), then use Agrax Earthshade on and around the beams to give it a dingy look, then use Nuln Oil on the walls to give a dirty look to it (you can apply it multiple times until you get the look you want).View attachment 1931403I’m curious, how do you all like to paint this kind of terrain? Sandstone beige, metallic grim dark. I’ve seen some cool rust effects you can create by stippling with a sponge
The grate and the vat would be primed with Runelord Brass, then painted with Brass Scorpion. Then I'd use Nuln Oil on the grate to dirty it up.
As for the vat, I'd use Screaming Bell on the bands, Doombull Brown for the valves, Canoptek Alloy for the panels, and Fulgurite Copper for the rivets. The skull would be painted with Wraithbone and the mechanical bits would be painted with Leadbelcher. Any lenses would be painted with Spiritstone Red or Tesseract Glow.
But, that's just my take.
