I wanted to ask if anybody else here is getting Octarius and what they plan on doing with their conversions and/or paint scheme.

I thought it might be cool to make them into an Arditi scheme. There was a cool video also on how to convert them into Valhallan Ice Warriors.

If I start a Imperial army I'd probably do some kitbashing as well as some minor customization and make some Albanian infantry. I believe Dengar from Star Wars is based off of their soldiers.

So... it does look like they're pretty damned close to the Citadel colors, only in dropper bottles and probably priced sanely. That's amusing.

The probably priced sanely is my concern. This is launching through Kickstarter. I'm guessing 80-120 for the 48 colors, 20 for the washes and metallics each as add ons. If I didn't have a paint set it'd be a decent way to get in, but I don't need to get a whole range at this point.

Finished up half-a-pack of hormagaunts, for the most part.
Not sure if I should keep the head yellow as is or add the black speckles for consistency...

I bought one of the old heresy boxes and just painted them as Blood Ravens. Its not like old armour was all destroyed. You can even mix-match helmets and it was slightly less exorbitant than GW's usual prices.
Yup, I have a Burning of Prospero box that is full of "Relic Terminator Armor," some Custodes and SoS, and an absolute shitton of Mk3 Armor.

I often assume I'm being trolled when people earnestly tell me they bought citadel paints. In this current year, in these age of being swarmed with low-to-high end painting options. Scale75, Kimera, new AK, vallejo, etc.

I got Citadel because my FLGS carries them, and I like supporting the poor autistic bastard that runs it. But yeah, being able to color match was a factor, too, I guess.

I don't know much about the other paint lineups, either, so it's a bit of a self fulfilling setup. I use Citadel because I use Citadel, barring the few Vallejo paints I use.

GW is now targeting 3d modelers according to Gamza. Which is uh, ironic, since he's probably the reason why. (Edit: He addresses this actually, saying he didn't target the Mega or even direct people towards it.)

Reddit's sub has bailed, too.

Edit: Looks like the Discord got either DMCA'd or mass reported by assmad leeches who were mad the MEGA wasn't being spoon fed to them anymore.

So apparently file sharing is going underground, and the public stuff is going to be for things like "this print didn't work, any ideas why."

This won't stop it, GW. It's just gonna make it a little bit harder than it was.

How hard would you say it'd be to modify their poses? I've heard Aggressors were a real bitch for conversion work.
As these are the easy to build versions i’d say very hard since the wires that connect to the flame gauntlets are in fixed position. I’d say only change the pose if you’re really confident in your abilities to do so.

>now

GW has been absolute cunts for like forever, anything that smells like oversized pauldrons in it's preview image gets yeeted off cults or thingie, even if they have no legal leg to stand on. whose gonna fight it, some random modeler? literally every time you see something nice you better safe it fast before it's gone.

Yet more progress, mostly on older models. The storm speeder was a lot of fun, like doing a car model kit.

Wait...Were people dumb enough to use Mega.nz? You never do that as it's a terrible place to store anything. You also never directly link to it. It's why /tg share thread uses rebrand and right now since they're looking for a place to store files they're only using Mega the same way they used Vola before it died. Files stay up for 48 hours and removed. The reason why you don't use Mega to store files is because of how easy it is to get the account shut down with a DMCA and Mega will release all of the information on the account. There are better places to do this.

Also, if you're just going to share scans of GW models to print, of course they're going to shut you down. Models are copyrighted.
