I agree, I wouldn't have much of an issue with the exp increase if it was only 50%. After playing again for several hours recently, 50% really would of been a happy medium, it would still take an actual effort to mastery a character, but not so much that the idea of using a new character feels like a needless disadvantage.
My main focus when I play is leveling characters, but right now I'm stuck with Stripe until I get that Cake skin (Lvl16 Jake) or pick up the Reindog skin to level him and Stripe while I get the other 13k (13 and 11 respectively). I have the Gizmo skin, but Gizmo has the same problem Rick and Morty do, he doesn't feel complete, and I hate playing him. I'm loving Stripe the more I play him though, he flows so damn well and fits my rush down style of play perfectly. Those sawblades are fucking excellent for setting up a combo into gun, 0 to 30 in the first 3 seconds of a match. They're really good for chip damage and edge guarding as well thanks to their quick recharge. Even with the perk, his down special is still pure useless garbage though.
I know the "candy for gold" part of the Halloween event is an afterthought for once you got everything, but the exchange rate is an absolute joke. I know this game has issues with players sticking around after they do the events and I feel having a realistic exchange rate with that particular aspect would of helped. 500 candy for 10 gold. That's 5 full sets (2 wins, 1 loss) with an event costume, for 10 gold. You almost that same amount for a single win. That's 15 matches, for 10 extra gold.
Just saying, if it was 500 for 100/200, I'd be content to grind out gold for those expensive ass Halloween avatars after I get the skins. For 10 though? I'm just checking out at 15k until the next battle pass.
