They just did a mini-patch to correct some issues with Morty.

Morty gives me the impression that this game is gonna be actually bad in in Season 2.

He seems rushed, his moves are all trash, except for the aerials which are broken. Feels really clunky and bad to play. Obviously rushed and untested.

And what does "brawler elements" even mean? I thought brawlers were pretty much all around fighters with strong confirms. Morty has none of that.

It's a shame Morty is the way he is. If that small patch SteelPlatedHeart mentioned allowed his ground combo to actually work then he's better, but still he is hard to play in a fun way. As much as I tried to use the grenades effeciantly, they are just too hard to do so with too little payoff, and I ended up just spamming his good aerials. The fact opponents can knock away grenades makes them poor traps, and the travel time of the laser to ignite them further increases the difficulty.

One day of Morty and 3k gold down the drain and it's back to Tom & Jerry who's entire kit is fun to use to the point I still haven't mastered all the moves to plug away at my shitty milestones potentially happening during dailies...

I know you can fight NPCs thanks to multiple posts here, but God these two suck...

The wonky hitbox/hurtboxs combined with the lack of a priority system and limited settings to get matches with good latency has made me drop this game. It's just not worth playing in its current state without some bullshit being involved.

I feel the same way. Especially when Rushdown Revolt is free to play. At least if I get owned in RDR I don't feel it was unfair.

If I really want to get my competitive itch out I will buy RoA. The workshop content is sublime.

I don't feel Mvs adds anything new to the genre. The novelty of playing WB/DC characters wears off fast. There are very few characters and unsatisfying levels.

I love the game. Despite playing Smash, I could never really get into playing it casually all that much. But I’ve been playing a couple hours with this every day and have really been enjoying it. Seems like it’s doing well enough to stick around for a good while too.

I do really need to find a good partner for 2v2 though. Hard to build up a good win rate with a constant role of the dice.

I agree that the game is enjoyable, despite some big flaws. I have been playing it enough to not have missed any daily quests so far which usually takes 40 minutes to an hour a day, though sometimes I will jut keep playing for an hour or two longer if I am feeling it that day. Honestly, once they re-do the hitboxes I could see that fixing a good amount of my big issues... I am also annoyed at lack of hit priority, but that seems less of an issue than Iron Giant's head hitting you with full ground slam damage when you come from above him. I'll stick with the game while it remains fun and that $20 of Gleamium I bought will get me this season pass (I'll buy it when I get to 50) and next seasons, so that is half a year to see if they fix things well or drop the ball and decide if it's worth keeping up with.

I've also been doing random 2v2 and it can be frustrating, a good 60-70% of the time my partner loses 3 of our 4 stocks.

In my case, it’s about 20% of the time. My real issue is I keep coming across teams that are very obviously communicating with each other, so it’s kinda hard to combat that with a random person you aren’t talking to.

I’ve been doing well with the season pass too. I’ve made it a goal to get at least one level a day, and I’ve managed that within two hours of playing each time. Will probably get harder once I reach the halfway mark, but there you go.

I usually don't care about them, but I've played enough where I've naturally gotten almost all the Steam achievements. Getting the 2 I have left would be nice just because I only have 100% achievements on like two other games, but they sure going to take forever.

One is getting 100 double KOs which is a ridiculously high amount for something so situational, and the other is playing 500 matches in a party which is a grind in the best of circumstances... but like most people I do not have a consistent partner, so that one may be unreachable.

I think that’s about what I have left on PlayStation. And yeah, not having a consistent partner is definitely making that last one slow going.

I am at lvl 20 of the battle pass though, so I’m making good time on that. And I think the next patch is going to help me with certain dailies.

I think I'm at level 23 on the battle pass... I usually just log in for dailies, but I put in some extra games now and then to stop my rested XP from being wasted and I have been able to do 2s with my bro a couple times this week which gave a bit of a boost. Also have all my milestones done but one so far.

I hit my last two remaining milestones before the new ones show up today and jumped like three levels myself, so I’m pretty satisfied.

btw fuuuuuuck the "Kill 25 people below 60%" challenge, that one is fucking impossible unless someone is brain dead or AFK, my best bet was playing with bots and trying to cheese with superman grab.
It is not that bad, just go to free-for-all and play as a heavy hitter. People in there are more casual and the screen shortening makes getting kills much easier.

I already did and it was frustrating as hell because people in FFA have no common sense and you dont know what map will be so it can be terrible. Sometimes you're at a massive stage (like steven's) and no one dies, sometimes people gang up on you or run away despite losing, sometimes you get you get your skill stolen, etc..

I only got it thanks to two players who quit mid match so they stood still while i pushed them out. Managed to get 15~ kills just like this.

Anyways, here is an interesting weight comparison i found online, i guess this explain why batman feels so easy to die, he's legit lighter than Harley.

Yeah, I also had the low damage KO milestone and just got it naturally through play without grinding it... it took like 3 weeks of doing dailies everyday. I am glad it came early in the season rather than near the end where it would be a problem. Getting the daily version is what I really dislike since I want to avoid fighting bots with the exception of the Wonder Woman shield block one. I've never done a Free For All match... probably good for some things, but god does it seem unappealing with Multiversus' stock mechanics. Running like a bitch with Stock is bad in Smash, but out damaging everyone and losing by losing killing blows to opportunists seems like it'd be more frustrating.

This game actually has a few things that make FFA different for better or worse

1-If you damage someone and another players steals the kill, you still get points for the "assist". It doesnt count as a kill for the battle pass tho.

2-If you die on last place, you actually respawn with a larger model and do more dmg for 10s~. I think it's supposed to help but on practice it makes you a larger target and people gank you.

3-The points double every minute and the stage shrinks at the last 30 seconds. This makes the final stretch very tense and borderline luck based since one random shaggy kick can clutch a double kill and take the lead.

So yeah, it IS frustrating but at the same it's very obviously not trying to be "fair" so it's a fun mode to just yolo without care. It's good for challenges because 99% of the times you will get bad or young players instead of the sweaty duos i keep finding on 2v2. It's also a good way to practice new heroes you just unlocked.

But srs why do i keep falling with these brazilian "gamer clan" duos? I even screenshotted one.
