Wasteland - The Predecessor and Successor to Fallout

New update just dropped for 3 that introduces a Kennel so that you can store previously tamed animals and a crafting system that lets you shoot wasps at people among other things - new story bit of DLC drops in 4 days too.

Looks like another run-through is on the cards.

Loved W2 and especially W2: Director's cut.

Backed W3 on fig but I'm still waiting for all the DLC content to come out and play it when it's complete. DC was so much better than base W2 that I definitely learned my lesson the first time.

Anyone else a little disappointed by Cult of the Holy Detonation? It was a good DLC overall, don't get me wrong. The "objective-based combat" additions were cool but felt a little bit forced, like they were just testing out ideas for Wasteland 4 or something. The story overall wasn't bad, but it wasn't the epic final DLC kind of story I was hoping for. It was also much shorter than I would have liked.

I think I Kickstarted Wasteland 2. After being uninspired with Pillars of Eternity I never got around to trying Wasteland 2 or any other CRPG, but after Mr Metokur recommended Warlockracy as an entertaining YouTube channel, I got the inspiration to give the genre another try and have been loving it. There is some tedium that turned me off to older stuff like original Fallout or Baldur's Gate (how is 3 minutes of your characters walking to enter/exit Hightower be considered acceptable design?), but over all I finding it much more palatable than my other dips into this style of game.
