We don't have a Satisfactory thread? - Satisfactory thread.

I'm goin to be honest here.

There are a lot of bugs and visual glitches. I think the game could have used another month or two of playtesting. after 8 years of development what's another month to make sure your players get a smooth release.
I am not seeing much like this. The game is running and looking better than it ever has. Item overlaps are still the biggest issue I see. Even load times are fast and my save is starting to get larger.

What have you been seeing?

For me it's a lot of misaligned textures, creature issues and lots of other small stuff.

The bio burners really bother me as the leaves and smoke effect comes outside the hitbox. It looks like the leaves are falling on the ground in front rather then inside the burner and the smoke clearly comes from a point above it. I dunno why but this really irks me.

The pipe colors are messed up with half the indicator being cut off by z fighting

I've seen the creatures fall through the world or float above it. Having them pop in when your going to fast in the Exploring is annoying as you can slam into them or think a area is safe and jump out only to be surrounded by hogs or spitters.

Issues with water extractor placement where sometimes you can place them on dry land and they still work. I've "fallen" through the water numerous times to land on the game floor and can walk around and even build things underneath the water layer.

Really it's just lots of small things that play-testing should have caught.

Now to be clear I'm still having a blast, the game runs smooth and loads fast. The tweaks to the graphics are nice as well as all the QoL fixes. Over all it's still a 9/10 game for me. I just think that since it was in the oven for what..8 years? They could have take a week or two more to smooth out all these little things.

On the plus side I got my tier 4 alternates at long last. I found a good trick is to just research all the hard drives at once but not to select any recipes as if they're listed on the machine they are withdrawn from the pool of choice. So keep the bad recipes sitting on the MAM until you get what you want then re-roll the shitty ones.

I'm about to start my first turbo fuel power set up and I finally got my first alien tech building up and running, the power expander. But fuck me finding all those Sommersloops to build it was a massive PITA but still well worth it. 500MW + a flat 10% power boost makes them a necessity in your early game. I'm a little sad that I'm already into turbo fuel at only 50 hours. I'm just ripping through the early tiers a bit too fast I feel which kills some of the fun. I just know the set up and where everything is so the logistics set up went way faster then I planned.

If you don't hear back from me in a few days send someone to check my condo as I'm probably lost in my soon to be constructed recycled rubber/plastic, 140 refinery build and need to be rescued.

It irks you because it is incorrect and they had plenty of time to make it correct.

im just hopping in to ask the farmer there opinion on the newest 1.0 release, is it worth installing again? how major are the overhauls? ty!
I would say yes. My last playthrough was within the year, so the changes are probably less pronounced for me. But even then the changes are welcome and there are plenty.

If you have been away a while, you are going to be very pleased.

I'm such a idiot

I just now realized you can use a constructor with a Sommersloop in it to get double powershards. I've just been handcrafted them and wasting the slugs. I could have twice as many shard for free...doh
I just went on slug hunting, gained 70 powershards. If only I knew Sommersloop's purpose I might not have made the same mistake as you.

At least there's a node in the research tree for producing infinite power shards, but that's when you reach the last tiers in late game.

Wait THAT is how it works??

FUCK.

Is it better to not harvest the slugs into power shards?
Apparently not. Have a machine make them with a sommersloop enhancement.

yah once you have unlocked output enhancement in the Alien Tech tech tree you can put a sommersloop into a new slot and everything that comes out of that machine is doubled.

So that 1 slug turns into 2 shard, that 2 slug turns into 4 shard and that 5 slug turns into 10 shards! Sure it costs a butt tonne of power but just turn off the constructor when your not using it.

My advice is to go collecting, find all the slugs you can then research the SAM ore tree then blamo! free power shards for every slug you find.

I just wish I had figured this out before because I did a massive slug hunt to augment my turbo-fuel power station and ended up with 128 power shards. Which if I had known better would have been turn into 256 shards at no extra cost. That's an ooof!

I finally got access to hypertubes, so I'm leaving my starter factory to start from scratch probably somewhere around the middle of the map. I've never really tried out blueprints in my past saves, so now I'll try to be building more organized non-spaghetti factories with the benefits of blueprints.

Though I gotta find some hard drives first so I can plan factories with the better recipes.

I made a slug doubler last night too. First one didn't seem to work but the next slug did double. Might be a glitch where the Summersloop might not double the first time?

Anywho, is there a way to carry the lizard dogs? I made a pen for them but it takes ages to keep them following towards my base. I've had a couple get stuck and disappear along the way too. I do have 6 now which is a good number of them (and a way to get more slugs occasionally)

It might be difficult to organize, but they apparently can ride on top of tractors and trains. I gave up on taming any more of them, because they keep disappearing. I'm not sure if they walk off a cliff and die, but I can't ever find them.

Is anyone else having issues with object scanner finding hard drives? It stopped working out of the sudden and didn't detect anything, even if I stood right next to a freighter with the hard drive.

There are still many little bugs. Some nodes won't scan even if your standing next to them too.

Snutt did a video about bugs and they're crushing as fast as they can. Patch coming out Monday to fix a lot of them apparently so we'll see.

Like I said, a few more weeks in the oven would have been a good idea but maybe the suits at Coffee Stain over-rode them and just wanted to get the cash flowing.

On the plus side Satisfactory is in the top 10 games played on Steam last week. 180K concurrent players is quite the jump from an average of 20K. I guess most folks were just waiting for 1.0 to get on board.

Might be a limit to how many you can have then. The ones I do have, seem to stay put in a 4x4 pen with 4m high walls and don't despawn.

What's the point of having pets if you're gonna torture them in a small enclosed box?

Anyway, I did have them in a box like that with foundations, but they disappeared regardless. I think it happens when I travel far away from them.

Don't give them a door. They disappeared when I did that. Solid walls and a ladder to get out.
And besides it's not a completely empty box. They have a rock and a dead tree to play with.
