This is the best decision you guys will ever make. Keep up the good work. Just make sure to add in some weight-training. Just so there's something to look at after you shed the weight.

This question has been posted maybe 50 times in this thread, but what's a good low-cost diet plan? I have tons of vegetables (more specifically onions and potatoes) and rice, Minute Rice and regular rice. Do I just eat vegetables and rice (along with some meat thrown in every now and then)?
Same goes for me, now I'm trying to stick to having at least one can or bottle a week. My mom actually says that it's mostly cutting out both the candy-and-soda diet that'll slim you down at a quicker pace.I really need to do this. I need to just break up with soda officially. It's not like I drink a lot of it, maybe half a can's worth on average, but cutting it out entirely would probably help...
This week I've been trying to get back on track, but I've caught myself eating junk again because I'm stressed out of my mind right now and I tend to just reach for comfort food when things get tough for me. I'm hoping that when I find another job I can get a more consistent eating schedule (instead of praying I have more than 30 seconds to choke down a small snack once in a while) and I won't be trying to soothe my anxiety with pizza and chocolate.
Usually the reason it is so hard to keep excess weight off, is because the adipose tissue your body created does not go away, so it can reform faster for any reason. Its actually an incredible survival asset. The problem is whatever weight you are at, it can become harder to stay at a leaner weight if your body is used to normally functioning with a certain amount of adipose. So everything you eat can build back faster.got weighed at the doctors today (I refuse to buy a scale because I know I'll only end up obsessing over numbers) and turns out i've only been gaining weight and I'm so confused
I'm praying it's only from gaining muscle but i dunno tbh
it's like no matter what I do to lose weight it just doesn't work and the pounds just keep piling on. the only time I actually succeeded in losing weight was when I was basically starving myself but I know that's not healthy or sustainable so I'm not sure what to do at this point

Exactly they are never gone, Its just people tend to think of that as a bad thing. Its in fact very good though!Normally, you put on fat by the fat cells simply storing more fat. However, when they expand to a certain size, they divide, creating more fat cells. When you lose weight after this, the cells store less fat, but you still have more of them.
That's pretty much what's going on with me too... it's reassuring to know I'm not the only one.Weighed and measured myself today.
According to the scale, I've put on 2kg.
However, according to my measurements, I've lost a centimeter pretty much everywhere, and I've lost a full 4cm at my navel.

(I'm getting smaller everywhere but my middle.. got chicken legs now lol)
Yeah, size is definitely a better indicator than weight. I've got short stumpy limbs (and a short stumpy build in general) not to mention bad genes so I'll probably always look bigger than most people...I've got huuuuge legs. I see obese people with smaller legs than me.
I have decent muscle definition, though.
I figure that losing size has to be a good thing no matter what the scale says.

Lately I've noticed that I'm much more... I guess you could say sensitive... to how much sugar and salt my food contains. I've cut out so much of both that any time I eat or drink something that has more than I'm used to, it tastes awful.
I've always heard that you'll lose inches before you lose pounds.
