On assignment and I really have let myself go for military standards. Couldn't convincingly fit into my issued dress pants so I had to buy new ones. Feelsbadman.

Then again I was issued size 31 pants in basic training and clocked in at a healthy buck fifty soaking wet by the end so I doubt that's too bad. Still, time for fatass to hit the track.

I'm down to a 29 inch waist from 32.

If you want a good little trick, cut meals into multiple and spread it out over hours. Like if your meal is a few chicken breasts and carrots, have 1 breast and a third of the carrots, then another one and another third of carrots in an hour or two, then the last bit another hour or two after that.

You can curbstomp calories that way since you have the same amount as one meal but spread into two or three.

Amd just in general waiting at least an hour or two after every meal. Never dessert etc. So it actually has time to hit your stomach and make you feel satiated before you devour choc gateau. Tea is good too... Takes time to cool. Any way you can trash hours is good. Idleness leads to becoming stir crazy and eating to escape the crushing restlessness.

Drop ready to eat packaged food. Choose stuff you need to cook so you can't impulse eat, get to kill time by cooking, and will probably be too lazy to cook for a craving.

Started keto recently and got some good food replacements for the usual crap I eat like lots of cauliflower, fish and pork. Dropped processed snacks too and found low-carb options and I gotta say it's doing me a world of good so far. Also picked up some fancy scales (i.e. ones that actually speak and tell you your weight) and I was much lower than I initially thought I was. Overall, keto seems to be the thing for me and I don't need to compromise on good food to do it. Gonna be a good year, I think.

I would agree with you if I had a proper kitchen. Due to the 'rona I can't use base DFACs because I'm in retraining, not pipelined from basic training. I've been exposed to the big wide world and might put AB Snuffy at risk for the coof.
Apparently big Air Force thinks Airman Skeltal over here can survive off of greasy AAFES fast food/vapor/photosynthesis and still hit fitness standards. I'm eating out of a rice cooker and microwave right now - it's frustrating.
Surprisingly the commissary had some Japanese rice seasoning and kimchi so I'm weebing/kpop stanning it up with my meals. Sardines/anchovies are also dirt cheap (~$0.90/tin). It isn't the best diet, but I think it'll work with enough cardio & calisthenics.

I do need some steamed recipes though (rice cooker has a steamer basket); a man can't live on rice alone.

My job is doing a month long weight loss challenge and I decided to participate. I’m actually fairly in shape save for a gut, so I’m hoping to burn off a little of that and this was a good excuse.

I’m doing 2 hours of nonstop walking while at work, and while I’m at home, every hour for seven hours I’m doing 15, push-ups, crunches, jumping jacks and walk a little doing high knee steps. Just something very basic to get use to working out again, will probably get increase the number once I’m use to it. Also drinking way more water and cutting back on suger.

If anyone has any advice or suggestions, let me know.

Right on man, a month is a good gauge to see how effective a few changes in your routine and lifestyle can affect you. My advice to lose some weight in a month time span is to eliminate alcoholic drinks entirely, no fast food or eating out (make all your own meals obviously), and try to de-stress as much as you can. Weight training will likely add to your weight from increased muscle mass so sticking to cardio and calisthenics would seem ideal for your situation. Good luck mane.

My husband finally got tired of being fat, and has joined me in counting calories. He's so fucking pissed about calories in the foods he loves that are a 'small serving', versus all the fucking vegetables he can eat instead. Cracks me up. It's nice to have someone going through it with me though.
Lost about 5lbs on keto so far after replacing snacks with low-carb options and sticking to stuff like chicken, pork and lots of vegetables. Eating well AND feeling better.
Keep it up, you two! Remember also that veggies don't have to be boring. HMU if you want food recommendations, but it looks like you guys have it covered in here already.

Stunning work, keep it up!

I've been on keto for about two years (in and out for the last 6 months) and lost around 32lbs. Try incorporating some workouts. I'm not saying go and run a marathon, just go for a walk and get yourself some dumbbells. It made a real difference for me.
