Weird Dreams Thread

  • 🔧 Actively working on site again.
I had a series of interconnected dreams in one night last week. Really weird mix of real life and nonsense.

I was in my late teens again, my nephew was almost the same age as me. Two different girls I went to high school with one after the other, and the strangest:

A baby girl appeared and had the IQ of an adult and spoke to me in Russian. Had some weird Russian name that started with B, and had one red Rollerblade on one foot, other was barefoot.

In a later dream, we were all at work inside of some church, erecting boxes to send to Indiana, for them to be filled with things and sent back to us, so we could sell what was in them.

Strange indeed.

OK so this last thing that happened wasn't much of a dream, it was sleep paralysis, happening over and over again for two hours. It was intense, and never happened more than once or twice at a time. This literally went on for over two hours. Weirdest thing ever.

dream kept changing the story on me:

  • at a Blockbuster Video that's still open in Current Year
  • Watching Star Wars where some energy weapon instantly blasts the flesh off of Han Solo, leaving behind a shattered skeleton. It was implied that "he'll get better" through technology later. Dunno why I was watching Star Wars in a dream: not much of a fan.
  • Suddenly summer is over, and I haven't even used the pool yet!

Had a fun dream, this black guy kept fucking with a box outside of my house and it kept causing the electricity to go out and the front door to open. I got so pissed at having to turn the electricity back on and closing the fucking door that I decided to go out and hit this retard with a metal bat. Guy came in and I ended up getting spooked, apparently I was yelling in my sleep???

I really need to stop thinking about things like niggers and trannies. Can't be good for my mind surely.

This night I've dreamt that John Goodman and I got chased by assailants, we got locked into a room, hid behind a bed but the perpetrators opened a hatch in the door and started firing arrows at us.
Mr Goodman then snuck under the door and buried a pair of scissors into one of the attackers eyes. Then I woke up. It was a wild ride and very intense.
@AnOminous please explain what this means and why you are hijacking my dreams. Are you my dream guardian angel?

I saw a black and white (1910s/1930s) version of Late Night With the Devil. The dream was so vivid, I was actually convinced that this "original" version existed, and the new one was loosely based off it.

Some insufferable YouTube game review "video essayist" is gushing over a puzzle top-down shooter where the conceit is that you're playing a police officer who time travels into the past to protect your previous self from being killed in a raid on a compound, and you have to do this by creating "distractions" by using your gun to lay down suppressing fire for your previous self without being seen. The YouTuber then lays down the pretentious-fuckwad bomb that the big twist is that you don't actually need to lay down suppressing fire at all, and that the only difference it makes is you get a more violent ending executing everyone your raided if you took a more "violent" approach while protecting your past self; all cookie-cutter "video essayist" im14andthisisdeep bait.

Then, I played it. Contrary to what the review had indicated, there really wasn't much time travel, nor was the game top-down. Instead, it looked like the first Metal Gear Solid but set in a mansion with a courtyard, and the generic militaryman player character had to take out a sniper on a tower overlooking the courtyard. Walk up a ladder to a balcony that inexplicably includes a hedge maze, avoid fire, get near the sniper's nest, all quite tedious. Time for the PC to complete the mission.

Except the PC didn't get a chance.

As soon as the PC got close to the sniper, a dude who looked like a tranny version of this guy
Malakili_SWCT.png
jumped in from some kind of airborne vehicle, kicked the sniper to death, and then proceeded to literally buttfuck the PC.

The camera then panned to two anthropomorphic couches, that were also buttfucking one another. (Remember the Cryptoland commercial with the anthropomorphic Bitcoin? The couches looked like they'd taken the same design cues.)

[Paging any wannabe Freuds RN]

Had a really weird dream last night where I apparently joined the army, was loaded up with bags of quaker rolled oats by my parents to bribe officers with for some strange reason and instead of being trained or whatever I got stuck out in a large tent full of food in a field in the middle of nowhere with an officer that looked like sean connery in drag who for some reason didn't like the boots I was wearing and made me wear a mini boot on each toe instead. Like the size of something that would fit on an infant but on each toe and barefoot other than that

Has to be one of the weirder ones i've had

Fell asleep at my desk earlier today for like 20 minutes, and had the most intense dream about visiting Mars with a few colleagues from work. We were all wearing weird orange space-suits, the sky was black & full of stars, and everything looked like it was straight out of the 60ies - bright, intense colors, lots of orange, turquoise and brown tones etc. We were visiting a bar and trying to figure out how to drink with the helmets still on when I got woken up by my headphones disconnecting because my laptop went to sleep.

Was kinda rad, since I rarely dream in intense colors like that.

Has anyone ever had an ASCII nightmare? I dreamed of two elderly people screaming at eachother, which eventually changed to a barrage of words, horizontal lines with bigger letters in the center making up one massive word. These words were very mean to put it mildly.

I went to a Jewish religious theater competition to kill some time, people were mulling around watching a show and then doing their Jew dances like it was a party. I walk up to a middle aged woman (maybe a few years older than me) to ask if it’s okay for me to participate in the ritual and she randomly tells me to follow her back to her apartment to fuck. She did not want to talk and seemed single mindedly but also boredly interested in taking my load. The dream collapsed before we got nude, as it does.

i wrote this while I was half asleep watching back to the future and having microdreams so it kind of belongs here. i dont remember writing it, but it couldnt have been anyone else

Back to Future - according to the plot of this Motion Picture, a boy named Martian has arrived at the derelict home of a doctor. There is crust everywhere and the messy doctor is an old man with long white hair played by famous Hollywood actor Cristobél Lloads. The other person is played by a famous Hollywoord actor who has become afflicted with Parkinson's Syndrome. The small, male man character name of Mart E plugs the tiny guitar into the giant speaker, when, Suddenly,he slams the loud cord. Which knocks him back and destroys all of the machinery. This catastrophic event initiates a telephone call with Doctor Time. The themes of the Film are; "Love", "Power", "Fixing the mistakes of one", and "The meanings and emotions hidden within a person's scream".

Seldom remember my dreams anymore. Gone through periods in life of intense nightmares, insomnia, teeth grinding, etc. Took some effort to outgrow, which is why I feel inclined to even express my dreams now, but I thus have some albeit benign concern.
For 6 nights in a row now I have the same dream. I'm sitting in my living room with my old cat (my wife is gone) and we're getting ready to watch something I'm looking forward to. Not sure what it is. The moment it begins to play, I get up to quickly get my soup off the stove during the intro sequence, (as if to time my sit-down-to-eat moment as the critical time of program start).
At that moment, I somehow burn my hand and throw the soup as I begin to sit down. It spills all over my chair and floor. Of course I immediately run to the kitchen to collect paper towels and chemical cleaner spray & clean it all up. I'm starving though so I begin to boil yet another pot of soup. As you can imagine, this same thing happens over and over and over and over again, until I finally wake up. Often I wake up mid-dream, either in the moment it has dropped and the feeling of defeat is prevalent, or in the moment I've been burned by the soup & the feeling of pain is prevalent.

I understand that dreams like this are supposedly telling the subject that they're repeating futile efforts and need to change their behavior in order to break this cycle. This is what I've read and been told anyway. And I am not so prideful to not submit to this self-evidence.

And yet, the dream recurs.

Really liked the aesthetic of this dream from 3 months ago:
I was doing acrobats with former classmates on a tall structure made up entirely of multicolored pipes. The structure was in the middle of a purple ocean. The clouds were purple and the sky was pink, lined with a yellow streak from the sun. Nothing particularly interesting happened, it was just me and everyone else swinging from pipe to pipe like monkeys.

Here's a funny one from a few years back: There's this silly horror game called squirrel stapler and tl:dr: this creepy chant plays at the end of the game before a cheap jumpscare.
A few days after watching the gameplay. I had a dream that ended with me in a giant dark empty room and this exact song began playing. That song made me realize I was dreaming and I was scrambling to find a way to wake up before the chants would scream "god is here!" I smashed my head against the wall which made me phase into the wall and fall into a void. I woke up after a few seconds of falling. I think that game tapped into a very specific phobia of mine since nightmares are very rare for me.

It was kind of a weird lucid dream series where I continue going back in and out of Puerto Vallarta and it keeps happening a lot ever since 2019 (Though my first visit to Puerto Vallarta was in 2016) When I was in Puerto Vallarta, I often have dreams about being back at home, then driving to Puerto Vallarta, and then at the Mental Hospital protesting that I should be in Puerto Vallarta doing a fight like that in Midnight Express (Considering I was at the unit in 2018.) When I got back home from Puerto Vallarta, I often dream about being back in Puerto Vallarta (and Guadalajara). Than days leading up to going to Puerto Vallarta I often dream of being in Puerto Vallarta looking at the stars Canopus and Achernar. Whenever I dream about Puerto Vallarta, It often warps the cityscape. However, Puerto Vallarta wasn't always the city I dream of being in during the years I couldn't go to Puerto Vallarta (due to my decision to go to Japan) and often dream about being in Arizona, Texas and Florida. However, I was dreaming about the fact I had the tickets, cancelling them and whatever weird shit I do. As of recently. My creation of the character in Puerto Vallarta made me dream about it more. I had dreams where I had a trip in Puerto Vallarta but wanted to stay longer, dreams of being in Puerto Vallarta but wasting it with sleeping for months (which also happens in dreams not related to Puerto Vallarta) Recently I was dreaming about going onto a plane in Puerto Vallarta and there was this pretty cool a chill guy who looked like a Slavic young adult but speaks like any other friend I met in Canada and he along with another person were the only ones on the plane but this man had no eyes, and I questioned if he had aphantasia as well which he responded to with yes, And then I felt sorry for him however he was able to get by. He reminded me a Ben Underwood who was a blind man who could get around but died in 2009. But I wanted to show him that blind anime character named Sight however because he was blind, he wouldn't be able to imagine it. He ended up being sacrificed and decapitated in the end which I disagree with. Upon being in Puerto Vallarta, our family ended up becoming dysfunction with my sister committing suicide and then eventually I ran away to Mazatlán while the song Surfin Bird by The Trashman was playing and Mazatlán turned into a weird place that looked straight out something from classic era Roblox. I often dreamed about being in places near Puerto Vallarta such as Acapulco and Manzanillo as well.

Had a weird dream where I was wandering through three buildings that had like a cruise ship amount of stuff in each one (shopping, entertainment, visiting areas) and then realized I had lost my phone so I had to retrace my steps and finding a lot of smartphones and folding smartphones and blackberries and older unfamiliar smartphones and getting horribly lost and the last building was a mansion where the owner had dumped everyone's phones in a busted pile and mine wasn't in there so I got frustrated and went "fuck it I'll wake up" and it was right beside me.

A few days ago I had a fucked up experience where I had a mundane but nightmarishly realistic ass dream that randomly escalated to me having to help a guy relocate his dislocated/broken arm and it was the most stressful shit I've ever been through. At the end of it the guys having a weird convo with some other dude as he's about to leave in a car and then he turns to me and whispers in my ear about how he'sHIV positive and just gave me AIDS before running off to the car and slamming the door

I woke up at my computer desk I had apparently fallen asleep at and immediately washed my hands after noticing the garage door wasn't fully closed. Yeah it's not real but I am NOT fucking with that shit lmao.

I had another dream in the Crazy House, a house that's always different and if you turn around and try to go back where you came from, it changes like it's procedurally generated. There are a number of architectual styles and somehow, even from the attic, there are doors to the outside. There are also large abandoned parts of the house that are dusty, but like if whoever lived there just suddenly left, like the beds are unmade and there are plates and dishes on tables.

There are also thin platforms on the outside of it going to other buildings.

In this case, I was up in the attic, and found a ladder to what was supposed to be a higher attic but had no finished floor, and when I turned around, a door had appeared to one of the "secret" parts of the house, also abandoned, but looking as if it had been recently cleaned. The weird thing, since nothing ever happens in these dreams, is I suddenly remembered how many times I had dreamed about this particular part of the house, and didn't realize it was a dream this time too.

Despite it being abandoned, when I was going down a staircase, I saw a woman going up on a staircase going in the opposite direction. Instead of being startled, I just nodded to acknowledge her and went on.

And then nothing continued to happen until it trailed off meaninglessly and I woke up.

Oh yeah sounds like the dream architecture I usually experience, though I usually experience towns or cities that change all the time. However, I always seem to lose my car in these dreams and spend the second half of my dream unsuccessfully re-tracing my steps.
