Really bad example dude. That film by David Firth is just misery porn. I'm sure Mike Judge's new show will expand upon the concept of a miracle cure much more than simply saying, "The rich and wealthy are bad" and "People are stupid."
I'm suspicious it won't even get to the part of anything supposedly absolutely perfect that cures everything is actually incredibly sinister. Didn't you get from the brain injections and a dude getting literally dissolved in the shit that "Cream" is not presented as perfect and good?

That's a red herring. You're supposed to be led on that the cream might be evil, but the ending shows that the real evil here... Is le human greed. That's the joke you see. It is not your typical horror story, It's le super subversive horror/British comedy. When you see that faceless millionaire rip the burger out that starving African baby's hands, that's when you le laugh at the absurdity of the situation and le cry because it's le truth.

It's pretty much just an SF version of the Shmoo, which is as American as you can get.

Does it really need an awkward Jack Chick style ending where evil is defeated in some nonspecific brushed over way?

This list is so fucking ass. Why is Nu-Ra Catra number 3??

Edit: Here’s the article this came from.
Here's off the top of my head a better list, in no particular order, grouping by franchise:
10. Elmer Fudd & Yosemite Sam (Looney Tunes)
9. Syndrome (Pixar)
8. Maleficent, Yzma, Hades & Frollo (Disney Canon)
7. Pete (Mickey Mouse)
6. Mojo Jojo (Powerpuff)
5. DCAU Joker and Teen Titans Slade (DC Cartoons)
4. Freaky Fred or King Ramses (or really any standalone, really good villain from Courage)
3. Fairy Godmother & Lord Shen (Dreamworks)
2. The Shredder (TMNT)
1. Every villain (Venture Bros)

I would posit that no great cartoon villain list is complete without Nox the Clockmaker from Wakfu, The Beast from Over the Garden Wall, David Xanatos from Gargoyles, and Aku from Samurai Jack.

@Romeo Like it doesn't help with WB that Zaslav is actively cancelling almost every cartoon on HBO Max and deleting popular shows from the app just for the sake of tax write offs. WB's anti-animation stance is bordering on them taking off their masks to reveal they were Judge Doom all along. Like even though Disney and Netflix are pretty bad at treating their animated properties, even they look like saints compared to WB.

CBR literally lets anyone write for them, like it is just a content farm but for articles.

At least shmoon are funny little creatures from a funny little comic strip, Cream is pretty boring in comparison.

My complaints come from the fact is that Cream is a decent little piece of social commentary but a terrible short story. Sure you can write about themes of greed and societal herd mentality but it still needs a story to fit. In Cream's case it wastes 12 minutes to tell a story formatted like a kid's book. At best it's self-indulgent and at worst it's hokey agitprop.

Cream's story, much like a kid's book, is functional but contrived. The story does not move through a character's actions but simply how the themes expect them to move. There is no struggle or conflict. The miracle cream is given up as easily as it was accepted. The inventor loses and the wealthy people win because the story says they do. A story like that is pretty dull and that makes it all the more frustrating as it easily could've been way more compelling than as it is then and now.

Again, I'm hyped for how exactly Mike Judge's new show will do this concept justice, The previews that have been shown so far are great.

The Nowhere King from Centaurworld! His theme song is so spooky and chilling, and he's straight-up terrifying. The reveal of his origin and the story of how he became what he is in season 2 was incredible.

found a short film called "Rally", animated in Unreal Engine.
description summary: "In "Rally," two underground smugglers embark on a high-stakes mission, transporting an unwilling hostage across a contested border in a modified rally car. Navigating treacherous terrains and evading relentless pursuers, tensions escalate as secrets unravel in this adrenaline-fueled animated action thriller."

If any of this sounds interesting to you, and you have 10 minutes to spare, give it a watch, I thought it was pretty well done.
The premise is a little camp, but I still had fun with it. frankly, its the type of "adult animation" that I want to see more of from the West. Hopefully, not only in unreal engine.

I agree, there's some cringey bits like the quirk chungus black girl who Peter Kay's character wont listen to but even she has that Wallace and Gromit charm of being an idiot. They had a good dynamic of "sharing a brain cell" as the kids would say. But what was brilliant was the imagination and use of Feathers McGraw as the villain, not only is he just as good as he is in Wrong Trousers they actually
end the movie with him still at large.
The climax is amazing and the animation is brilliant, super inventive, plus while Gromit is the hero like he should be they make a great use of Wallace's inventing to actually help in the climax which I think is what I always like when they do in a W&G installment as opposed to him being useless
