I don't know if it's been said before either here or in the Disney general thread but I gotta get it off my mind.
I recently realized something. Turning Red is basically Pixar making an animated movie about an Asian teenager going through puberty... particularly that "time of the month" part. The red panda's a not so subtle metaphor especially when you consider the movies being helmed by some chink chick.
From the simple story of what your toys do when you leave the room to this...was it worth it Pixar? Was it worth signing on the dotted line with blood to sell your soul? Like Faust in his quest for forbidden knowledge, you desire the approval of the masses.
