Being a poor kid without cable, I remember waiting up every Saturday trying to catch Pokemon, Xiao Lin Showdown, Totally Spies, Jackie Chan Adventures, and Code Lyoko. I would watch cartoons with my dad and he showed me DBZ and Ranma, good times. Fast forward 20 years or so and I've moved on to adult media and my dad watches absolute garbage anime and cartoons for kids. It hurts seeing myself mature faster than him and realizing that your dad is a archetypal soyboy.

Why is it that adult western cartoons are heavy handed cynical doomer reddit posts and jap adult cartoons are essentially childrens cartoons with more tits and gore? It feels like we hate growing up but try to cling to it and japs don't want to grow up so they pretend that they aren't. Is it healthier to be bitter and resentful or a manchild in denial?

Yeah it's all about finding a happy medium something both people in general and the industry have failed to do for...a while now.

How is it a fan animation meant to parody the fairly oddparents and breaking bad, managed to perfectly capture the spirt of the fairly oddparents better than ANY of the official reboots have yet to and with the one can ever hope to?

Give it a rest already! I have never seen a franchise so desperate to stay alive. They look like characters from a children's medicine box. What will they do if this one fails? A new video game series? A goanimate series? At least Cosmo sound back to normal. We keep getting this crap but not a new season of Danny Phantom?

There already is a Dani Phantom; she was a female clone. Yes, Danny Phantom had its own clone saga.

I think it could be decent if brought back, but Hartman would need iron-fisted control over it in my opinion. No studio interference.

I'd agree if it were the same dungeons and dragons type shit that's been milked to dust but this has some steampunk in it at least. Not to mention Genny's trackrecord for making a good show with rushed endings.

Genndy is the best!! That's what I meant earlier in the thread how he's the only one who knows how to make good cartoons that can be for adults that isn't a Simpsons knock off.

So speaking of Genndy. Funny story last year I visited my grandparents in Ohio and my grandfather had Primal on and I watch it with him. Grenndy Tartakovsk really knows how to get other ranges of audience doesn't he.

Dankula did a video on the Gadget cult. I think them campaigning for a sequel for the original show was a cthulu level monkey paw. I think if she would have had few children than it would have been less bad, but she managed somehow to give birth to a brood.

That show gave me nightmares, especially when the kids get killed in Mortal Kombat and that's how they finish a season. At least they revive and grow up as badasses.

This is precisely what I expected the movie to be. Hell, this thing is so predictable. I already know the message in the waste of time will be, "Don't listen to your family, be yourself. Mixed-race couples are good, and old people don't know any better." to add insult to injury, this is a message that Disney, as well as Hollywood think is bold and daring when in reality it a message that has been overused and they been so blunt that's been utterly obnoxious to sit through theatres.

Heck, when was the last you saw a movie with two straight white couples?
Every couple in movies now has only either been mix-race or gay. It's rarer to see a straight white couple in film these days, so to make an entire movie about how "couples can be mix-race" is not only tiresome to preach but shallow.

if you told me to give proof of new animated films being ai-generated I would hold this up as the prime example

I couldn't even believe it was real on first glance, I thought it was some joke about rejected Illumination scripts. But no, this is a real Pixar movie.
