I am being MATI on several levels right now, remembering how Dark Crystal was quietly shuffled to backstage despite its success without mentioning a single reason for doing so and then this worthless fucking garbage gets renewed, good for nothing waste of time and resources that found no one who would say a single good thing about it, I fucking despise Netflix amoebas who run their shitty service.

Velma was approved for two season before it even got made, it’s not really a surprise.

Velma was HBO max though cause they needed new content for their service. Dark crystal was Netflix though I see your point, they both suck in terms of how they treat their shows.

feel like this would work better with a dysfunctional character like Bojak Horseman or Coach McGuirk, rather than stock happy-go-lucky quirky college age young person. I think that Harvey Birdman reboot had the same problem.

futurama without the smart and witty writing is like bread without gluten, its possible but the end result is quite shit.

I hope they keep the humor topical! That's what people liked about the early Futurama, all of that topical humor.

People keep repeating this but I'm like 99.9% sure its not true, a lot of shows good or bad get 2 seasons by default and I'm pretty sure the same thing happened with velma. It either split its episodes in 2 or was already going to get a second seasons regardless.
I don't think millions of people tuned in to watch a show that was unwatchably bad to the point where even the msm was calling it a parody of what conservatives think liberal media is like just to hate on it.
