Western Animation - Discuss American, Canadian, and European cartoons here (or just bitch about wokeshit, I guess)

I think the others are safe... for now.
I doubt they would do anything to the teen characters. Teen Titans has a very strong following of teenage girl shippers that would probably lose it if Raven was with anyone other than Beast Boy. DC literally warped the entire brand around their shipping fics to make BBRae or Robaven canon in nearly every iteration. Starfire is also largely tied to Robin both in creation and shipping.

Same can be said for Artemis x Wally and Batgirl x Nightwing.

>complex geometric shape
>two perpendicular lines

Writer should have been fired the second he said that in the boardroom. If that's the case, they should be waving around Klein bottles and Mobius strips.
Someone else pointed out how stupid it is because if 2 perpendicular lines are enough to confuse vampires they should be walking around permenantly dazzed from basically everything around them.

Even if it was a Mobius strip its still stupid, castlevania vampires are magical not biological, so all this bullshit about predator eyes makes no sense which is another thing to toss on the pile of why the show is shit.

GO!
admit it.. i could type just the lyrics and a good chunk of you can hear the theme music and all inside your heads.
Sometimes the Japanese version gets stuck in my head. Again, had no reason to be that good of a theme song, but I'm thankful someone cared.

Not even, my nigga. The 2000s still had great western animation, even some that are underrated. Are you just gonna forget about Avatar TLA?
Issue is the children watching Teen Titans went on to grow up, join the industry and insert everything they liked from that show into their own shows. And I don't remember any other show of that time having as much relationship drama as Teen Titans.

Well I still find Teen Titans to be overrated. Fight me

I consider it one of the 4 horseman of bringing animation down. The other three are easily Avatar, Total Drama and Adventure Time. All 4 are great in their own right, but opened a Pandora’s box of shipping, lore sperging, anime influence, and “mature” animation fan fandoms.

I have yet to see a single one from the last decade in which that was done well

^ The single one, IMO.

Would a red hood and the outlaws show work on like 2010s Cartoon Network

"Anime and it's consequences have been a disaster for Western Animation"

You might as well throw Steven Universe in there as well, that show had not only shipping and anime influences but also some added Social Justice Messages that created a toxic fanbase

the difference is that its fanbase became so immediately toxic that it had a terrible reputation less than a year or two after the first episode's airing
it created its own tiny, toxic subset of cartoon fans, sure, but it couldn't impact anything more mainstream due to that entire suicide debacle and other incidents
SU also crashed and burned much faster than any of those shows save for maybe Total Drama, with it being questionably decent by its third season and outright trash by its fifth
most of the messages it pushed that became popular were also found in Adventure Time (the lesbian shit especially), those that weren't only really cropped up in SU-adjacent stuff like Owl House or Star Vs that was catering to the same demographic instead of having more broad appeal like something like Regular Show, and most of that "anime influence" was outright ripping off scenes from anime shot for shot as opposed to "taking inspiration" (which is what went on to become popular, and is instead much more prominent in shows like ATLA or Teen Titans)

SU is less a "fifth horseman" and more a deadly squire who eventually broke off to do his own thing and become a thorn in the side of everyone around him, training his own order of insufferable faggots instead of more directly affecting the mainstream like the rest

Unrelated but apparently Today there's a block coming from Cartoon Network called "Checkered Past" which airs the CN city and Cartoon Cartoon era cartoons like Billy and Mandy and Ed Edd n Eddy

Going off the promos this sounds amazing, even if I can't catch it on tv I want to follow and support it. It's amazing to me that Cartoon Network is giving a voice the artists and fans that grew up watching these shows.
