Western Animation - Discuss American, Canadian, and European cartoons here (or just bitch about wokeshit, I guess)

Just to update, I finished up Moral Orel. Have to admit, season 3 did change my mind about the show. I liked it very much.
The show's still not perfect, and I stand by my opinion that S1 and most of S2 sucked, but S3 redeemed it for me. Although a lot of really important and serious issues felt really rushed, but I understand the show had a bunch of problems with [as] concerning that. Now I get why people praise it so much.

Welcome to syndication, baby, crank out 65 new ones, tack the first three batches on and milk that rerun money for a few years.
Ironically the opposites true nowadays. Most Netflix shows are lucky to get the traditional 13 full episodes of a seasons let alone 65 episodes.

On the one hand the syndication number meant you'd get a decent number of episodes without going into seasonal rot territory unless it gets renewed for a number beyond 65. On the other hand that 65 episodes could very well bell the ONLY 65 episodes you get.
Rest in piss, still gonna miss. The ads were shitty but that's another loss for easy piracy. Corpos have been cracking down hard lately, not a good sign for things to come.
What about watch cartoon? Or 321movies? It's honestly not that hard to find a site that offers easy piracy.
Is kimcartoon.si a real or fake mirror?
Hey if it works it works.

if anyone is familiar with seeing vewn's work once in a while in their recommended, she's uploaded a new one today
seemingly in theme with the rest of her videos being absurdist/satirical, but the face reveal is odd (don't recall anything similar from a glance on her channel)

Bit surprising she looks like that, since most of her human animated characters are either white or ambigously tan with straight hair.

For an animator (esp one with more quirky works) she looks really good and also normal, especially comapred to some of her peers...

Kimcartoon is DMCA'd. It's what they deserve for waging war on ublock.

I was actually surprised that they reported this yesterday. If anything, if WatchCartoonsOnline goes down permanently in the near future, then that means I’ll have to wait for five or six more clone sites to be created until it ends up becoming a shell of its former self.

Between this and my favorite anime pirate sites being taken down on behest of manga corporations in Japan, it’s a tough time sailing the high seven seas.

For some reason, Fievel Goes West had been on my mind as I have not seen it since I was a kid. I am late to the party, but I finally learned this movie was John Cleese's first voice acting role and Jimmy Stewart's final role before his passing. That just makes the last scene all the more touching given the number of Western roles Jimmy Stewart was in for both radio and film.

Wasn't this the movie where during the pitch or some part of the pre production, someone working on it showed a stack of animation cells and the one for a full standard cartoon on TV was only like a few feet high while just 22 minutes of animation on the movie in production was stacked all the way to the ceiling?

>watch the old Batman the animated series with my nephew
>Scarecrow episodes are the stand-out episodes to me
>Joker one are meh

I just don’t care for Mark Hamill’s performance. His Joker just gets pissy and steps on his own jokes. Every other villain seems to actually let the character come out. Mark Hamill just seems like he’s insecure of the delivery.

Honestly impressed. Looks like a genuinely chill place to work. Shame that the old headquarters have been shut but at least we know the replacement is in good hands.

LS Mark's long-awaited cartoon pilot is finally here
Yeah this genuinely a chore to watch, not the worst indie pilot I’ve ever seen but lacks any sense of pacing, direction, or relatable or interesting characters. The fact that there is mild swearing and alcohol references in what otherwise has the dressings of a pretty middle of the road nicktoon also prevents this from being picked up from any kids network and it’s too boring and passe to be on adult swim or any other adult network. I will give Mark some points for the Voice acting which I don’t think is terrible by any means and at least has the inclusion of Michael Cusack and Jim caddick but other than that this doesn’t seem like it has any particular audience at all other than Mark had a general idea of what he wanted but never went any further than that for other audiences. None of the characters are particularly likeable and the humour is just so bland that it just exists in a sort of limbo that doesn’t really appeal to anyone other than his fans. Not the worst indie project I’ve ever ever seen but my God for sit need huge amounts of work to make the characters more interesting and massive improvements to writing, characters tone and pacing.
