I mean...if you're going to demonize someone to make a one sided argument at least make her ugly or unattractive. Gotta love the irony that the "villain" of the shelved moon girl episode is a blonde milf with Hartman hips and yet the "heroes" consist of a a jungle bunny, two gender specials and a token Muslim in a hijab. And one of those gender specials is a mtf clearly voiced aby a male and as pointed out barley tries to hide his Manish voice and it breaks at certain times.

Speaking of said Muslim,
It's also always the most shallow and consumer friendly version of a Muslim ever. Just a girl in a head wrap with an occasional " I
Yes because a Muslim family would not only be totally fine with their daughter not only playing sports but also with a darkie and two gender specials including one who was born a boy. But she's wearing a hijab so that suddenly makes it ok and they wouldn't be at best keeping her home away from school at worst scaring her face with acid for shaming them....or worse.

Again..this in 95 was the hero or at best a nice character...here in 2024? A Karen and a bigot.

Just keep showing how much you hate women by demonizing their god given beauty over your unnatural mockery of it trans in animation.
In ‘95, she was a character that, while not a perfect facsimile, was an annoyingly overly-friendly/touchy-feely adult archetype kids could relate to experiencing. And it makes for a great gag that kids and their parents could both laugh at if for different reasons; because the writers of these shows were writing for kids who could be reasonably assumed to have some parental involvement. What modern cartoons really do this? They all seem to be written for childless adults desperate to recapture their childhood by adults who have retroactive associated the media of their own childhood with pornography.

It seems fucking dire for kids today, because the only content made for them is predatory YouTube channels.

^this is no joke.

The shit that's on NetFlix and YouTube, just for preschoolers, is pretty eyebrow raising. Like you know for a fact this was made by some russian/pajeet/chink using some asset-flipped models trying to make a quick buck. i know for a fact they are geting the same SFX from each other cause I've lost count as to how many times I've heard the MGS Snake Alert sound, or that "WOOOOOOOOOOW" sound. Some of them are nightmare fuel looking abominations to boot. Last one I saw while babysitting my niece was of some dinosaurs talking about why people have to fart. Even the ASMR channels of some chick unboxing toys and playing with them I find a bit odd.

Sad how bad it's gotten. I would never let my children online with what's being shat out now.

It's so poorly vetted that 'teens managed to make their own successful Youtube Kids channels that have enough views to suggest actual kids watched their videos: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_inUax_RTUo&list=PLSHY1X4oHW2x2hWpyD_Qp5Avck53Y6ICK&index=1

Anyways, any of you have a cartoon from your childhood that feels like a fever dream you just imagined?
I haven't been able to find it again, but I'm half-certain there was a Jimi Hendrix christmas special?? Or Bootsy Collins, or some other psychedelic black guitar player. He lead the kids out of this boring-ass town into a psychedelic fever dream, and when he brought them back the entire town had aged 40 years. I don't even remember if there was a moral, I think it was something like Footloose like "music is good, if you make your kids not listen to music they'll leave you and you'll have no vibrancy in your lives anymore."

It feels like the only people who care about children's entertainment are pedophiles who want to fuck the children, wokescolds who want to indoctrinate the children, and miserable adults who want to be children. It's this selfish line of thinking like "well if I don't get anything out of it, why should I bother doing it?"

(edit: sorry for doubleposting)

The plot is familiar enough where I can confidently say that you may be thinking of the Electric Piper, it’s a modern retelling of the Pied Piper of Hamelin, but that was before that meant put a chick in it and make it gay. I saw it once on TV, but was pulled away before I could see the end of it, but then it became lost media and I went bananas looking for it again. It was found again in 2016 and is available on youtube.

I remember liking Clarence, can't speak to the other two.
I watched like one episode of Apple and Onion once when I was on a cruise, because it was late and I didn’t have anything better to do. It was…fine. A bit weird and monotone, but fine, I guess.
I enjoyed the Loud House at first, but apparently that fell into seasonal rot real quickly, with the movies and live action spinoff being especially bad. It doesn’t help that it’s a bit hard to separate it from its absolutely atrocious fanbase. Seriously, I have no idea what it is about the Loud House that makes people produce such unhinged fan works. And I’m not just talking about Loud House Revamped or its sequel.

Apple and Onion,Clarence and Loud House were the last three good cartoons I've watched.
Funny enough, The creator of The Loud House is now a reborn Christian who now is leaning far-right against the woke people.

In other news, voice actor Dan Hennessey known for voicing Chief Quimby on the 80s cartoon Inspector Gadget died at the age of 82.

I admittedly have only seen a handful of episodes from the first few seasons. I'm not an avid cartoon enthusiast or anything.
