Also the fact that PGBC too adgantage of it being a wacky cartoon in terms of its plot, setting, characters, animation, and so on.

PBGC wasn't my thing, but it saddens me that that show didn't take off with what you pointed out, as THAT actually felt like a real cartoon. It is also something we could use more of in every sense - it's all about making sure the writing's good alongside it, too - something I felt said actual cartoon was lacking a bit in. Still, an example of how cartoons can be made fun again in the right hands someday.

This just feels like any given current-gen CN cartoon, but with a Canadian-tier artstyle.

FTFY. I can't stress enough that I ain't no nostalgia-whore, I just know Yesteryear was so much better at giving us art-styles that stood out, when it came to CN, besides not feeling like it was only made for babies and/or Tumblrfcks.

That OK KO crossover into the Nexus came out.

It is garbage. Utter garbage.
Essentially it is Garnet, Ben 10, KO and Raven from TTG runnign around the Cartoon NEtwork crossover town from the old CN bumpers, fighting some villain called Stryker. They reference all sort of CN characters being heroes who had been "eradicated" by Stryker and the entire thing is a mix of CN ego stroking itself, pissing on the legacy of far superior shows than the ones being the heroes in it and inconsistent animation.

I have seen "Cartoon Heroes to the Rescue" and I think that was a superior crossover to this garbage.

I fully disagree. I saw clips from it, and you could tell the damn thing was clearly made by people who knew their stuff.

I hope it wasn't a case of "nobody's going to remember these guys" here.
I doubt it, considering they showed off numerous obscure characters from CN's past like Robot Jones in the episode.

And it's not like the H-B characters are off limits either- Captain Planet and the Ghoul School girls already appeared. So no appearance from Space Ghost, the Herculoids or even Captain Caveman (or heck, the SWAT Kats) makes me ask "why?" Same with the [AS] guys, considering adults do watch the show.

I have no idea why. Only they do. It was pretty thorough otherwise, though.

This is depressing, but not at all surprising. It confirms my little pet theories about Pen Ward being the progenitor of all this garbage and CN and Disney TVA being cesspits. Although I would take the personal stuff with a grain of salt. Not that I don't trust the uploader but we have no idea if the source is telling the truth or just bitter.

:powerlevel:, still hoping to get into the industry but this is at least a nice wake-up call, at the very least telling me who to watch out for and what to avoid.

Yeah, I would also like to say that I am not surprised one bit from what is said in that video. However, I am surprised that the alleged source barely talked bad about Nickelodeon. You know, with all the pedophiles and crazy people running around in that company, you would expect to hear more dirt on them. But it's just Cartoon Network and Disney TVA. Does Nick have slightly higher standards?

What was it?
They were done to cover up the fact that the ratings are shit when it airs regularly, and to avoid canceling the show and firing their "first femail showrunner" because of it. And the dates on which these drop are times when nothing good is on TV so that it looks the most interesting by comparison.

To save face, basically.

Seriously, don't give up on your dreams because of THIS, m8. Just... Be above BS like this. That's all you gotta do.

Three words (concerning Nick): The. Loud. House. Plus Dan Schneider (even though that's not cartoons.). No reminders should be needed there. Well, if not that, than the cancerous fanbase for it and its pedophile/rapist creator.
