I get that I'm judging it based three seconds of animation, but I hope the final product looks better than what was shown. One of the things the original series took pride in was having theatrical-quality animation and that certainly doesn't look like it.

Bob, if you remember, had no involvement with it. However, he does know people at Viacom. That, plus - and I can speak from personal experience - he isn't the kind of guy who lies to make himself look better (like JK). He had to have heard this from somebody, and even though I don't know who, I kind of think he's telling the truth.

Don't say this is official, because it's not, and there's no confirmation from Viacom. But if a year comes and nothing is out... well, you'll know it's true.

I'm not gonna cry if Bob's right, however. I do dearly hope they let him do a movie like the Rocko and Hey Arnold films. I can tell you it'd be great.

They had animation that was better than the average TV quality, but even that depended heavily on which studio was animating the cartoon.

He should wear that, as he's supposed to be influenced by the more "bad" aspects of black culture. So if we see him wearing one, we know it's going to be anti-BLM and by extension anti-establishment as it should. But if he's wearing a MAGA hat instead, then it means the show will criticize "Uncle Toms" and Huey will be a retarded BLM Bernie Bro ANTIFA ancom who thinks they're a maverick instead of a useful idiot. Being anti-establishment was almost the norm back when the original series aired in the 2000's, but now everything has to conform to the point they have to give Elmer fucking Fudd a scythe because the narrative says we have to outlaw guns. And yes, I know it was originally a comic strip.

It's "not your Daddy's Animaniacs" means it's not memorable, top notch animation. It's just fucking shit. Remember when "not your Daddy's" used to imply that it was cool and radical and not lame? Now it means exactly the fucking opposite, it means emasculated, pussified, drained of everything that made it good.

Scenario B (good series): Riley's a dumb BLM leftist, Huey's neutral, and Uncle Ruckus goes to the other extreme.

I mean it makes sense since out of all the named characters, Ruckus would be the most outspoken for Trump. Of course this would be bad if the show went woke by acting like “Trump evil, BLM good” when Boondocks was able to be nuanced and call out the dumb shit the black community does.

Of course it depends if the same writer for the first three seasons is involved and didn’t lose their touch cause the fourth season writing staff was horrible by making Boondocks very generic and basically flanderizing the cast.

Eeeeh, not really? I mean the StarToons episodes were pretty close, but the TMS and Wang episodes varied and the other studios were either just above-standard or downright shit. Then the budget cuts hit.

That same writer was also behind the original strips. IIRC he got busy doing something else and wasn't around to do Season 4 as a result.

Because those exist at every company? The company has rules about what you can and can't do in a cartoon, and it simply isn't worth it to bother with guns because there's too many rules around it.

I mean, I thought we've moved past the 80's. I'm sure age rating is more in play than anything else, considering what PG cartoons can pull off nowadays. It's not a dealbreaker, but they pretty much neutered Yosemite Sam
