What ad-blocker browser extensions currently work to block Youtube ads?

Couldn't you just run a pi-hole? Is that still a thing?

I run a pi-hole. It didn't stop YouTube catching uBlock Origin yesterday.

Fortunately, there are instructions on how to get around it in the uBlock github.

Go to Ublock settings --> Filter lists --> Built in (expand)
Uncheck the check box for Quick fixes and apply the change.

Everything was back to normal for me.

Ublock Origin was acting up for me and I got 3 strikes on Youtube. I reinstalled and the tip from @Swole McPole worked for me.

Whenever YouTube does this new push to punish anyone wanting to protect themselves from invasive ads and spyware, it's always hilarious.

I just imagine the stinky Indians spending months attempting to come up with a working solution only to have their hard work fucked by a single uBlock filter list that is updated within an hour of your new code going live.

YouTube would rather have people with adblockers than a dying site. They will always back down. I began archiving every YouTube video I liked about two years ago because I know the day where they memory hole 50% of their platform content is coming.

Evergreen bump for an evergreen problem. ublock origin and ad nauseam no longer working on Brave. I can promise one (1) gold medal sticker to anyone who knows and shares the new meta. Susan didnt die enough.

Edit: had my enable sliders backwards after installing newest version of ublock, its actually appearing to work for now. Fuck you Susan.
