The Amazing Bulk was full of shit designs. Both character-wise (Bulk, the dog) and otherwise.

Bulk had a really weird model. Some scenes had him with his belly fold into his body. Plus his size ways always differnt.
Best looking character? The guy holding onto the missile.

That's without going into the fact that the director couldn't even be arsed to design the characters himself.
All he did was use whatever CG animation he could for free, same thing with the awful backgrounds and well, pretty much everything else.

As much as I adore FFIX and its art style, the latter is a bit of an acquired taste and I don't blame anyone who doesn't really care for it.

Most bad character designs don't bother me, typically it's a secondary character or a one-off. Nothing to put me off an entire show. This guy kept me from watching a full episode of Rage of Bahamut. From what I saw, the anime had other huge stylistic issues but I just can't get past this.

Rage of Bahamut is like every single "medieval europe inspired" japanese fantasy aka a total eyesore. One of the secondary characters has pompadour with cute littl hairpins for crying out loud
