What Are The Worst Character Designs You Have Ever Seen?

Let's strip a character known entirely for her iconic armor of 90% of it and throw on some useless fins. Great idea. This is the real reason Fusion never got a sequel.

I'm not crazy about how she looks outside of the suit these days either but that's purely a matter of taste. The Fusion suit is just ugly.

Personally, I kinda both agree and disagree. I think the design is alright in the promo art (as well as Prime 1 and Samus Returns), it's just that it's a design that translates horribly as a tiny GBA sprite

Seriously, it looks like somebody just puked all over Samus

Ridley's design from Other M would've been better without the deformed head.
Seriously, something about the head just doesn't look right to me. But then again, did Other M really get anything right (besides Anthony)?

Spoiler: Additional Metroid sperging from the resident Metroid sperg

No, they made the head weird and ugly. When Ridley faces you head on in that game his snout loses all it's shape and just flattens. I mean, look at it, it's flat. That didn't happen in Prime or Prime 3. Fucking nobody should be allowed to do Metroid games except Retro.

And yes the Fusion Varia Suit has the worst color scheme in all of the Metroid games. I guess it's supposed to be primarily yellow with magenta highlights? I never could really tell.

Keep in mind the Fusion sprite was designed for the pile of dark that was the early GBA, so NEON YELLOW AND BLUE isn't so unwelcome a thing in those circumstances.

I'm not sure whether I'm supposed to be taking this show (King Star King) seriously, but it's on Adult Swim, and the only "serious" show they still air is Rick & Morty.

King Star King doesn't have an overwhelming amount of awful character designs it has awful art. I'm positive half the characters would look awesome in any other art style, designs from the show I particularly enjoy are Hank Waffles and the creepy alien strippers from episode 3. Not saying the show is free of bad designs many of the female background characters have disgustingly large cow tits and Gurbles is irredeemable but overall the actual design of the characters isn't horrible. Artstyle doesn't equal design.

A design I hate is the human Boota from Gurren Lagann

Besides the fact that the design isn't at all appealing the character normally looks like this:

The human design does capture the hair perfectly, the spiky hair plus the two antenna strands translate nicely from the animal, but the palette is awful the ugly visor doesn't help, and stripes are unnecessary. A lot of Gurran Lagann designs are awful in the second season but this is by far the worst.

Sweet mother of God What did I just watch?!

A religious cartoon made by a single man and his church in 2004. It took four years to make.

I do want to give the film some credit. The crowd shots are kind of impressive, assuming he rendered it all himself. Since he started working on it in 2000 he probably had to make a lot of assets himself. This isn't like The Amazing Bulk where the filmmaker just went to a hundred different websites and bought assets to drag and drop into the movie.

He's also worked as an animator on another film called "Gorgeous Knight" in 2011, and there's not that much improvement between those 2 films:

In general, every single character drawn by Bleedman, a pedophile that could rival fellow child-diddler Shadman in the "technically well drawn but absolutely repulsive to look at" art category.
I'm not even going to put up any pictures for examples, because I don't want to subject myself to something as vile and putrid as Bleedman and his disgusting pedoshit.
You're going to have to look him up yourself if you don't know who I'm talking about (though I would not recommend it).

It's s shame that said assets look as ugly as sin. Even for the early 2000s from an amateur.

I don't know if I should be happy or disappointed no one's pointed out the fugly designs for the new Be Cool, Scooby-Doo (though how worse is it than Shaggy and Scooby-Doo Get a Clue?).

imo, I'd rather look at Seth MacFarlane clones than whatever the fuck Get a Clue was trying to pull off.

I actually really liked his design for Grim Jr, it was cute. If you looked at the character without knowing what he was used in you'd probably think it was fine. Once the design becomes associated with Bleedman's work, it's irredeemable. You can't look at it without drawing this negative association.
