"Tonight" is a stretch because i started at 4PM and it's almost 8PM now and i am thoroughly fucked up alteady:
Cousin came back from Sardinia and brought me, amongst other things, a bottle of home-brewed Mirto, a sardinian herbal liquor that's quite famous all over the island. The plant it is made of is native to the island and it is obscure to the point hat i neither know the english nor the german (my native tongue) name of the plant from the top of my head (quick google search tells me it's myrtle).
The most well-known commercial brand of it is Zedda Piras, which is IMO very good on its own but has too much added sugar.
It clocks in at 32% alc. by vol. but even one whiff of the shit i got here tells me it is over-proofed and probably closer to 42%, if not 48%, as is tradition for home-brewed stuff. I can recommend this stuff if you got any taste for herbal liquors like Fernet Branca, Ramazotti or even Jägermeister, it has a unique twist on that kind of taste.
