What are you playing right now?

Diablo 4, and I can confirm this game was made by and for retarded nigger cattle.

Seriously, there are some severely retarded fucking design decisions in this shit; and only the true believers who dedicate their life to grinding the same shit over and over and over would excuse it. And when it's not a design decision, it's possibly an unchecked bug that didn't get fixed, to where an Elite in a sub-mission is on par with a fucking world boss. I'm not pro-meta or min-maxing, but I'm able enough to hang on World Tier 3; but even on World Tier 1, this one sub-mission enemy is fucking stacked like he should be a story boss or some greater deity.

And of course the brain trust that is the internet "Just stun him." Yeah okay, I just dumped 100,000+ gold to respec for the best stun likelihood, but oh, nothing is ever 100% and it doesn't get stunned when I need him to be, and half the time the sole divider that should let me break LoS from his vampirism doesn't fucking work, and a single hit from his vampirism heals damn near 15-20% of his total fucking health, and he does this shit about every 15 seconds. So just fucking roll the dice until the Stars, the Moon, and the fucking Sun align because Blizzard (and their cuck beta-testers) can't do their fucking job and balance what should be a fucking nobody.

There's also a sub-quest that begins from an item dropped from a Treasure Goblin; but only if you're in a specific zone. So literally just fucking wander around until the 1% or whatever it is chance of the little bastard appearing, and now you have to run him down and kill him before he portals out, and try not to get killed as he runs through half the fucking zone aggroing everything onto you as well.

Jade Empire. Holy fuck is it addicting. Easily Bioware's best game. I've beaten it four times now, but I want to keep playing. Combat that isn't too simple or complex, a setting rarely seen in vidya, a lot of different combat styles to mix things up, and you can bang two princesses at the same time. Story is good enough. Not really outstanding but easily better than most these days, not like that's saying much. My only real complaints are the Open Palm/Closed Fist system devolving into just good and bad near the end and how rushed it is after the Imperial City.

Picked up Aliens Fireteam again in summer sales, playing with my partner atm kinda fun gets a bit retarded with the stupid cards. And the communities kinda dead but i'm enjoying it.

Also dusted off my switch to try Pikmin 4 demo and i'm loving it, end up picking it up when it release next week.

Trying out the Masters of Orion remake/reboot thing. It's a pretty pared down 4x, but I like the style. But FUCK the Antarans, holy shit. I get that it's a way to force you to get some military and defenses up, and they target whomever's in the lead, not just the human, but goddamn. Having these guys open a portal right next to my colony, bomb the fuck out of it, and then run away giggling frustrates the hell out of me. Now I know why some people just turn that off in the game start options.

King of Fighters XV

Ghostbusters: The Game

Fatal Frame 2: Crimson Butterfly

The Outer Worlds. I had it on GOG but never played it before, so I decided to install it before the new Todd Howard (PBUH) game is out.
The story is cringe, the dialogues are pure Reddit but I enjoy the gameplay loop and its universe. It's like a Reddit version of Mass Effect with the cute asari replaced with ugly girl-boss dykes.

Ended up buying a series x because I want to play Starfield and the price goes up on the console next month. Picked up Resident Evil 2 Remake, Halo Infinite and LA Noir in a pre-owned 3for2 at my local Game to tide me over until it launches. Not sure which one I’ll start first, gotta wait for the damn things to install/update.

You should have invested in a PC since Starfield will be locked at 30fps on Xbox.

I did the whole PC gaming thing for long enough, fist PC was a Sempron 2200/9600 Pro and last was a 3900x/Vega 56. Motherboard died and I put the surviving parts into my server and sold the GPU when they were silly money during lockdowns. I’ve no interest in shelling out for an appropriate ITX build to live under the TV, nor do I want to mess about using keyboard/mouse on the couch. Also Windows can fuck right off.

I refunded Rimworld because I'm too dumb and impatient for it. Picked up Darkest Dungeon, and I'm addicted.

Just finished System Shock 2. Holy fuck was that last part a slog. Still, I enjoyed myself a lot cosplaying as a nake eater with hacking. I might replay with either a tweaked version of the same build or I'll go psychic. Great game either way. Also, protip, don't completely disregard repair if you're going a gun build. I'm not saying you should really go further than maybe 2 points but getting that shotgun ASAP was a good idea.

I'm surprised no one ever talks about it. Balder's Gate was a classic, yeah, but Jade Empire is far too much fun and interesting setting-wise than it ever was.
I can't speak for the quality of Jade Empire, but I do think part of it is just because it came out during that era where gamers were starting to move away from martial arts as a central theme and more towards for big pauldron fantasy & military scifi. So it ended up sandwiched between the forgotten realms games/KOTOR and mass effect unfortunately.
