What are you playing right now?

Warframe helps in blowing off steam after work. Nidus Prime's out, so I'll probably stop when I have him built and forma'd to my liking.

Bought this VN called Sierra Ops. Story's space opera anime stuff, but it's got some surprisingly good ship customizing and strategy gameplay. Almost feels like a mix of Star Control and Battletech when I play. We'll see how creepy the story gets later, but the gameplay will probably keep me hooked.

New Guardian of the Galaxy game. Quite good but a little underwhelming that most battles seem to be little more than button mashing, all you need to do is avoid being hit and you can more or less just spam attacks with little strategy and win.

honestly were you expecting anything more than a glorified walking simulator from a cape-shit game?

Never done a conjuration run and having fun spamming atronachs in Skyrim

Giving Shovel Knight a try because it was on sale.

Holy fucking shit this game has so many death pits and death spikes. I get what they are trying to do, but jesus christ is this shit annoying.

Just started Metro Exodus after picking it up on sale.

I'm a couple of hours in and just been dumped into a big open map and there is crafting and shit? I really like the tense claustrophobic atmosphere of the other two game so I don't know how I feel about this. Hope it's not a watered down STALKER clone.

Felt the same and droped the game after the first act.

LABYRINTH OF TOUHOU - GENSOKYO AND THE HEAVEN-PIERCING TREE

It's a neat little gem I found on Steam the other day, It's actually lots of fun and they just recently added an English translation to the game.

Gameplay wise it's extremely similar to the Etrian Odyssey games on the 3DS, only the map isn't rendered in 3D where you see your movement on every step, but instead is played on a grid.

Another difference is instead of creating four or five characters from scratch, naming them and assigning their stats like in Etrian Odyssey or older dungeon crawlers, you recruit and play as the Touhou characters, having 4 characters in the front row and up to 8 in reserve for quick swapping in battle. It's different but it works.

Overall a fun time, I don't really have any complaints about it, other than I kind of miss seeing the map in 3D but it's understandable that they probably didn't have the budget to pull that off.

Undernauts: Labyrinth of Yomi

Asking price is on the higher side and the port is a little jank but I'm a sucker for gritty dungeon crawler and it's Experience best work yet.

Decided to order an XBOX version of Metal Arms: Glitch in the System. Can’t wait for it to get here. One of the most fun games from my childhood.

Catching up on stuff like Elex and Assassin's Creed Origins and Odyssey. Elex is partially kicking my ass but it's been fun. I've barely even made it outside of Edan in 10 hours.

Also played some of the Dark Pictures games for Halloween because those types of games are always a guilty pleasure.

I told myself I wouldn't do it, but I ended up playing System Shock 2 on hard in the span of a weekend. God this game is so good. It's a shame immersive sims are niche titles because they are probably my favorite sub-genre. I'm probably gonna jump into Code Vein next.

Parts of it are. Each of the seasons (?) have like one open map, about 15-20km with a lot of stuff you can do inbetween objectives. I wasn't too big on this approach, but it kept me engaged. The Metro franchise is this console gen's Mass Effect, IMO. The franchise series that goes hard and showcases the technology while being something uniquely new. I'm glad 4A had the chance to tell this story all the way through.

Since I barely have time for any vidya these days, I've been playing Dragon Quest VIII in small doses on my 3DS over the last few months. Say what you will about DQ's lack of "innovation" but these games have always been the perfect comfort food games, especially when you're all snuggled up in bed on a cold night.

Desperados 3 is cheap enough with ps plus right now I thought I’d give it a shot. Really glad I did, it’s fantastically compelling and has had me getting sucked into a single map for hours exploring part without noticing all the time slipping by. The mechanic that shows how you autisticly navigated every inch of the map at the end of each level is a neat little quirk too. Solid game that surpasses all expectations.

Currently Playing The Sinking city: a bit rough around the edges but I like the grimness here.

Also playing Infinite Undiscovery, just because of its rarity as an xbox 360 game.
