What are you playing right now?

How ironic, I’ve been playing the series’ Reignited Trilogy after getting into a rut with Pokémon Legends: Arceus.

I’m still on the fence about a couple of the changes made to the games but I’ve become more accepting of some of the ones I had a major hang-up (especially swapping the actual guns used by the Gnorcs in Twilight Cove with Splatoon-esque goo guns) with after doing more research and discovering the actual reason behind the changes.
I’m curious, what were the actual reasons?

Playing some Rust. Good to know that the game is still the same crazy flawed genius it was when I put it down 8 months ago. Been playing it on and off for a decade now. Crazy.

Dysmantle, it really scratches the collect everything itch.

Back on War Thunder. New patch brought a ton of graphical upgrades and I’m having a lot of fun. The loss of the chat feature is annoying, but until the war in the Ukraine ends they won’t give us chat back.

I miss the shit talking and being able to coordinate but I’m still having fun.

Life is strange true colors because I wanted to see how bad it is. I hate it, I hate it so much. I’ll finish it though and I guarantee that.

Dragon's Dogma. Wasn't really liking it at the start but its growing on me, mostly because the combat is fun but the Japan-jank is real. Its hard to describe but I swear even if it has a western style/aesthetic you immediately know when you play a Japanese game because it has certain unique clunkiness to it.

Also, I'm playing it on Switch and its definitely a game which you can play handheld but probably shouldn't, it just looks really muddy and shitty in handheld. Stick to docked.

- Elden Ring
- World of Warcraft
- Assassin's Creed: Origins, getting bad PC performance for some reason, hope I can fix it.
- South Park: The Fractured But Whole
- Project Warlock, attempting it on Nightmare.

That series lately seem to notoriously be odd in how it performs on PC.

Currently playing Syberia: World Before now. Good addition to the Syberia series thats been going on for ages now.

Think a lot of it has to do with the bloat that happens due to the Ubi Live stuff, and you can't even turn it all off. I don't care about who took and uploaded a screenshot at a location, or to do a revenge mission on UserXYZ1474445 that got killed at that spot. I guess it can't be helped and that is just the way it goes these days.

Remember when AC II was just Ezio becoming an assassin to avenge his family? Those were good times, without the whole online crap seeping in more and more. I don't think anyone ever asked for some online aspect to the single-player part of the game, yet here we are.
