What are you playing right now?

Been playing through Indiana jones and the infernal machine. Great plot, fantastic soundtrack and just a good time overall. Lucas Arts put out hit after hit in the 90s and this is no exception. If you like adventure games this is a great one. It's a game I rarely see brought up except for it's neutered N64 port that's not worth playing. If you are able to get past it's shitty 90s tank control it's completely worth it. Buy it on sale on GOG

Finishing the House Hlaalu quests for Morrowind and started playing Inquisitor: Martyr for a change of pace. I bought it years ago and never played it because I didn't actually know what kind of game it was. Turns out it's an RPG ala Diablo, so I'm pretty happy.

Playing the Lost Civilization WAD on GZDoom after seeing what the game looked like through Dean of Doom's channel.

Very lovely looking WAD and I enjoy how large and open the levels are. I love some of the little set pieces like in the Farmlands level where you have a pen full of Pinkies with a mud puddle in the middle of it.

Rebel Galaxy Outlaw

I'm having a lot of fun with it since I never played shit like Privateer or Freelancer. But the main character kind of annoys the shit out of me.

Yakuza 3. Honestly not as good as any of the previous ones... Combat is a fucking chore in this, can't combo motherfuckers cause they block everything after one or two punches including weapons ffs, two of the three enemy archetypes and bosses both counter your throws... It ends up making battles take longer than they should. I'm worried 4 and 5 will turn out like this

Don't worry, they aren't

Playing the "horror" game Erica. Not sure i'd call it horror though it has nothing really scary and is more uneasy.

I've started playing GTA Online again after learning the new money-making method (it's Cayo Perico. First time stealth might be a bit rough but once you have a route mapped out it's honestly super easy).

I forgot how many major issues this game has. So much so I have to make it a bullet-point list rather than turn it into an essay.
- Shockingly awful load times
- Semi-frequent game crashes or hangs
- Massive hacker issue (I've been in more lobbies with hackers than lobbies without hackers)
- Random bugs (I fell through the floor a couple times for no reason, had the game crash, and even had a mission fail to register as complete)
- Griefers (I could do an essay about how R* empowers griefers, but long story short, griefers have access to incredibly strong vehicles to kill everyone with, and the best way to deal with them is with equally expensive countermeasures. If you're low-level, you're at the mercy of whether a passing high-level player decides to target you specifically every time you respawn).
- Many random UI annoyances (like how NPCs will call you repeatedly about purchasing a new building until you buy it).

Frostpunk is excellent and on sale.

Probably the best city builder experience that I have had. Abit of the hype is scripted, but there is nothing wrong with that. First playthrough blind was epic.

Nier Replicant and Stardew Valley, but I'm probably gonna drop both come Friday when AI the Somnium Files 2 comes out. Then that'll consume my life for a bit.

Hitman 3 (and the first two) as it is free on Game Pass. Pleasantly surprised at how much fun I've had.

Synthetik 2. It’s already looking far less rough than when it had just come on to early access. Starting to mess with the shield classes, which are already way better due to the riot shield not being tied to a starting weapon. I wonder what the engineer equivalent is going to be. There’s space for 3 more class types and there’s already a ton of variety.

Still hate the sniper, just like I did in 1.

Team Fortress 2 Classic and modded Minecraft (version 1.12.2, specifically). Just started a new world, after playing on a survival world for only like a week before being unsatisfied with my progress and deleting my previous world. I have a bad habit of doing this shit

Monster Hunter Rise as it does not make my PC sound like a Valstrax jet engine as each time I fire up MH World I think I am going to get ambushed.

Saejima will make you want to eat a fucking bullet in 4. Early game he’s fucking awful and the bosses on hard are insufferable. Late game with him is a breeze though.

I replayed Bioshock. 2 is the best upon replay as I hate meta commentary on games. The OG is fine, but it kinda depends on the twist. The gameplay is alright, but it’s lackluster as you go on. It really just overstays itself.

2 is better just because the gameplay is more fleshed out. The story is fine, the cutscene of a Little Girl being forced to watch her father figure blow his brains out is honestly better than ‘Would You Kindly’. The theme of fiction being inherently Determinist is not really that ground breaking when children’s books did it like 20 years prior. DLC has the twist that people craved, but is a nice little story.

Infinite is terrible. The plot is retarded and the gameplay fells like a step back from 2. It’s clear an arena and then kill the stakes by traveling to a parallel timeline where you have never interacted with anyone, but act like you did. Like the entire premise undermines the themes. They have all the technology of Rapture, but instead of just making big daddies they import niggers. The game undermines it’s both sides thing in the DLC.

I think it’s my years on /pol/, but everyone you’re supposed to sympathize with in the OG is Jewish. The most evil people are a Chinese Doctor and a French-American pretending to be Irish.
