What are you playing right now?

I put on Warlockracy in the background when I work and he subliminally convinced me to start a new Morrowind play through. I installed Tamriel Rebuilt, some player homes because I'm a RPG hoarder, and some texture packs. Hopefully I didn't break the game.

In between Morrowind modding, I've been back on Bannerlord and Cyberpunk. I did a high agility katana build and it is way more fun that my last mage hacker build where you click on stuff and it dies.

I'm playing Wolfenstein: The Old Blood. It's way better than The New Order.
The new games should have been like that instead of being like an agitprop directed by Tarantino.

I had to give up on my 100% Wind Waker run because apparently there is a random Rito NPC that disappears after you beat the Earth temple, so I can't get his picture for the Nintendo gallery, so it's literally impossible for me to 100% the game now. I really like the Nintendo gallery in concept and it's a cute little sidequest, but good god, is it half-baked.

I think I'm just gonna drop TWW for now. Getting everything else feels really pointless now, especially since I am on NG+, so I beat the game already. Maybe I'll move to TP, or I'll just play Cyberpunk again.

aren't you able to buy his picture from the photographer who has bosses and such? towards the end he should probably have a random selection of portraits that you don't have yet.
edit: seems like that isn't the case.
There were only nine missable figurines in the original:

- Knuckle
- Cyclos
- Big Octo
- Phantom Ganon
- Helmaroc King
- Tetra (gives you the other pirates)
- Kogoli (some random Rito on the outside, disappears with Medli)
- Wizzrobe King
- Puppet Ganon

Wouldn't that make a lot sense?

And yeah, I got all of these except for the random Rito guy.

Replays of Stick It to the Man and Valiant Hearts: The Great War

Neither holds up ANYWHERE near as well as I remember them being over fifteen-odd years ago.

Edit: Stick It to the Man isn't near as good as Flipping Death (but it's more consistent, Flipping Death was 2/3rds great and 1/3 trash), but it was cute and fun by the end.

Valiant Hearts is so overrated.

My biggest problem with it at the moment is that it wants to be a poe-faced s e r i o u s and p o i g n a n t war movie vidya game with sad classical music playing in the background all the time, but it does that while also being a goofy-ass Tintinesque comic book world where people are chased by villainous Prussian barons in zeppelins.

It is at odds with itself.

I played a bit of The First Descendant. I don't care about the story but I like the weapons and the beautiful women.
Tried it out since Warframe was fun enough but it never ran particularly well and one of the hotfixes resulted in constant crashes which made the game completely unplayable. Might give it another go in a month or if the crashes get fixed but odds are I'll just not bother as it's Warframe mixed with Destiny but with the strengths of neither.

Nier Automata is fucking amazing. As I have gotten older, it has gotten harder and harder for games to retain my attention. NieR doesn't have that issue. It's just fucking good. It's heroin for my gamer soul. Even on my 1080p Dell screen from 2009 I got at a flea market, it looks stunning even now, considering the game came out in 2017. The world is big, it forces you to walk around, fuck quick travel, and every time I pop in I discover something new.

Tone wise it never stops moving. Everytime you're about to get comfortable, something happens that changes the story and keeps things fresh. I can't tell you how nice that feels man. Anyway, that's what i've been doing lol. And i've been loving it.

My copy of Metal Gear Solid Master Collection just turned up (two days late because Evri are fucking useless) so I’m gonna give it a go when I get some free time tomorrow. Hopefully 2&3 hold up, I have my concerns about to control schemes and how much I have been spoiled by MGS5.
I know the collection is supposed to be flawed but I had to send my GAME Reward points on something before they got wiped.

Dragon Age 2. I played the first game a bunch of times but I always passed on this one because of the bad reviews. It's not bad but the combat holds the game back to the point where I wish it didn't actually have any. It's this awful mix of an action game and a tactical RPG where it manages to fail at both. It doesn’t help they shove as many enemies on the screen as possible and then once you actually manage to kill them all more just show up out of nowhere like you’re playing one of those Japanese Musou games. However I like the writing and I think the game has a lot of potential to be really good if it ever gets a remake.

I've noticed that the framerate in the open world seems to go all over the place since the last couple of patches.

Ever since release day a lot of people reported either constant crashes, issues compiling shaders or other notable performance issues across a very wide variety of hardware both brand new and old. Each hotfix patch seemed to bring these issues to a new group of people and I don't know if it fixes the same issues for others as I've stopped following the Steam forums too closely, but the forums were still very much on fire last I looked. I'm unsure if anyone was able to pinpoint exactly where the problem(s) happened to lie.

I got Xenoblade 3 Chronicles a while back and kind of wanted to power through it to get to other games on my list, but I did not expect it to be long, especially with the number of side quests it offers. I am now over 60 hours and suspect that if I want to complete every quest I find, I'll be well into 120+ hours.

Back playing RE4 remake after I fixed a flickering issue with freesync and a recent Arch update (had to lower the refresh rate from 200 to 120hz).
Some changes are nice (no health bar for Ashley) some are weird like the default pistol being really bad, even with the laser update. Also the Red9 is not sold by the merchant.
