What are you playing right now?

Played FAItH: The Unholy Trinity. It was pretty neat. I wonder how long it'll be before the fourth chapter is out?

I found a vid by Majuular on Lost Odyssey and realized I hadn't played it in like 15 years. I've been eyeing it on Xenia since last year but last time I played it had horrible audio issues and black screens. Then I saw this vid and he claimed you could play it a 1080p 60FPS.
I followed his instructions and got everything set up, even found and enabled the DLC files for it. It took awhile but I finally got it working.

Here's the difference. Here's a vid with the 60FPS on but framerate uncapped. I recorded it in 30 FPS with OBS then learnt later to cap the internal framerate of the game at 60 because uncapped was throwing up weird graphical bugs.

And here is 60FPS recorded in OBS with 16x Anti-Aliasing and all the patches applied once I had figured out the settings.

That patch really makes the animations stand out. The game is playable till the end but there are some bugs that haven't been ironed out yet. The 60FPS patch doesn't play some cutscenes when enabled so you'll go through a boss fight, have the cutscene freeze. Requiring you to close the game and disable it then continue on till you get to the next save point. The second is 2 occasions of hard freezes that haven't been fixed yet, both in chapter 3 and one in a cutscene but that is skippable.
There's also one side quest you can't complete because it requires you to run across the screen to fetch something and since it's 60, you will fail everytime because they set a timer to the framerate. Set it to 30 and suddenly you can do it.

I think it's still a few years away before you can plug and play it but it looks great from just simply bumping the framerate up.

Kingdom Hearts ReChain of Memories. I got KH 1.5 for PS3 for like $3. I never played this series and the price was right. I like this game a bit more than the first game. It's flawed for sure. The card battle system is a little too cumbersome and the dungeon building mechanic should have been fleshed out more. The leveling system makes you choose between HP, card power and skills (sleights) . And unfortunately, the skills can be hard to pull off until you have the right cards. So you are better off skipping the sleights and building HP and CP until you have more cards. I wish I had realised that sooner.

There's a really cool game in there that just doesn't shine because of the way things work. I have a fondness for it similar to my fondness for Deadly Towers. There's a really good game hiding in the jank that no one will ever get to see because the devs dropped the ball.

Uboat.

Recently sunk an escort carrier and three destroyers. It's early war so the British are kinda slacking off. Sadly ran out of torpedoes before I could sink too many merchant ships.
I really want to play that game (I've always loved free-roaming maritime raiding games the most) but the learning cliff intimidates me.

Distrohopping. I keep hearing about CachyOS being better for gayming so I'm putting my Arch aside for a bit.
Killing Floor 2, I'm still having fun but I hate people who are AFK in a server and how very few people play the objective.
Mass Effect 3 LE with mods. I have abandoned my insanity run on ME2 because I'm stuck on the Collector ship and I don't want to cheat.

There are missions where you basically do that in North Africa. Although it's not confirmed that it's a train iirc, just that a demo team went ashore and blew something up. I actually just finished one of those missions recently.
Holy shit this really is the best game ever made.

I don't know a ton about submarines and in the little I played (I found it very confusing how to actually "do" commerce raiding effectively, everything from intercepting to launching the torpedo to planning the attack, I have to replay the tutorial completely) I was shocked to learn that harbor infiltrations were a thing.

Borderlands remastered. I remember playing the original as a kid and I still love the series's gameplay, but I hate the shoehorned in woke shit in the newer entries.
The game is very bare bones, and the skills don't really stand out much for each character. I do appreciate the small touch of being able to pick from a few different heads for each character.
That being said though? I still think it's a decently fun game you can absolutely march through if you know what you're doing. Hell, I haven't played the game in years and I made it to level 20 in an hour or two just fucking around. Check it out if you haven't.

Pirate the game though, fuck Randy Pitchford.

Xenoblade X DE. The costs for higher-level gear grow by leaps and bounds and I swear the game does not give you adequately-scaled ways to make revenue to compensate.

playing some ion fury, it's more fun then I thought it would be the levels look really good for an engine from like 1996, the enemies and the weapons are all quite satisfying to use especially the shotgun, might pick up the dlc if it goes on sale.

gonna be a normie and say I've been addicted to the monster hunter mobile game that came out recently(?). it's very good and addicting but naturally it has the most insane and asinine microtransactons (:_(

Ion Fury has everything it needs to be a classic—except voice acting. Shelly sounds like she's in Conker's Bad Fur Day.

John St. John is just kind of... there?

tbh I don't mind some of her one liners most of them aren't cringe inducing and yea her performance is a bit flat. Do they use the same voice actor in phantom fury? I don't know because I heard it was shit.
