Got nostalgic for Half Life 2 and decided to play it again. It's held up really well, both in terms of gameplay and graphics. Got up to Ravenholm tonight and I still think it's the creepiest thing ever put in a game. The way the zombies scream when you set them on fire is fucking disturbing.

Persona 5 is such a time sink. I mean I expected that and it's part of why I bought it but damn. I'm 28 hours in and I'm still in the first castle. (Admittedly there are chunks of time I was 'afk' but still) Also the constant splash screens and loading really bugs me and makes it feel like things take longer. They are super short (probably shorter than normal since I have an SSD in my PS3) but they are constant and annoying.

I should balance that out with the stuff I love. Super stylish, surprisingly dark themes, characters with depth, humor. I'd also say it's pretty accessible for a jrpg.

Fuck Max Payne 3. That's something like the Last Jedi of videogames. I hope Sami Jarvi gets Max Payne's rights back.

I don't consider anything besides 1 & 2 to be canon. I pretend the movie and 3 don't exist.

Really enjoying Jedi: Fallen Order. The people saying it's Souls-y are making me roll my eyes, but I do appreciate the maps looping back around on top of each other with shortcuts for exploration purposes.

Also for reasons I can't quite place it's making me really, really nostalgic for the year I spent playing SWTOR every spare moment.

Im replaying new vegas for the 15th time. On replay, yea, the outer worlds is way weaker then new vegas.

Fuck it I'm also replaying New Vegas. Gonna attempt the patented quadruple cross playthrough by razing goodsprings for the powder gangsters. Gain entrance to the NCRCF but betray the powder boys to the NCR cucks. Maybe go through hidden valley ranch for a sick choker and head past novac and up to outer vegas. Pop some legion/fiend heads to get in good with the NCR then use the monorail to get into Vegas for free. Listen to chad technolich House, but blow up his legion of toasters from under the proud boy's pillow fort. End up championing the underdog rawls and sell gay scientist into slavery forever. Optional is nuking both sides in the lonesome road for max loot before the rep reset.

Playing Dark Souls for the first time, I feel like an old man playing Mario for the first time.

Playing through Pokémon Yellow. After all the recent Sword/Shield talk got the itch to play some Pokemon. Still a fun game and holds up OK but you really start to miss the small quality of life improvement in later generations like decent item management.

I was actually looking forward to sword/shield but will give em a miss. All the drama aside, looking at gameplay footage it just doesn't look all that exciting or fun.

Might try some Crystal rom hacks next. As we all know crystal is the pinnacle of Pokemon.

Played the Borderlands 3 free weekend trial for the Xbox One, and just bought it during the Black Friday sale.

So far, I'm having a blast blowing baddies up with Iron Bear, especially now that it's been buffed with the recent patch.

I've decided to get back into KOTOR since it's one of those games I always start but never complete. So far I just made it off of Dantooine and decided to make Tatooine the next planet I visit. Nearly got my ass handed to me by the Sith assassins that you encounter there.

Going back to DMC5 to try and get everything and beat as many difficulties as I can. Combat is still great and goty for me. Hoping this will tie me over for a while until i have some spending cash for the games that came out in September. ( code vein, borderlands 3 ).

Life is Strange Before the Storm - simply for the easy 1,000 gamerscore before it leaves the Xbox Game Pass in a couple of weeks from now. Boring as hell, but tolerable easy gamerscore with some weed in my system.
