What game did you finish today?

Finally beaten Far Cry 2. Pretty much chose to deliver the briefcase of diamonds to bribe some border guards so the civilians could escape.

Edit for the fourth of May: I finished Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen. While I haven't beaten the main quest, I did beat Bitterblack Isle which is in a way, it's own main quest. The battle against Daimon was pretty good.

I thought it would of been different due to being separated for about a day. Either way, fixed with the date noted since I beaten Dark Arisen today.

I just beaten Shadow of the Colossus.

I've played through this game at least a dozen times by now. And chances are I'll probably play through it again at some point in the future. It really is a special game to me and I never get tired of playing it. It's pretty much my therapy game. Perhaps now I'll try tackling Time Attack Mode again or simply just explore the Forbidden Lands.

Let's see... on Sunday I finally got around to beating Guacamelee. I enjoyed the game for the most part, but near the end when it get's harder, it gets harder in the most frustrating ways possible. I'm much more of an endurance player than one who likes to rely on reflexes, and some of the last challenges were a bitch... and then I found out about the super secret areas. I'm about ready to give in, but there's like 250 achievement point tied to it if I succeed...

And last night, mostly because I was too damn fried from work to do much else than play vidya, I finally got around to beating Hitman: Absolution. I stopped playing it about 2 1/2 years ago, around the 2/3rds mark. Main reason was, as many other Hitman fans can attest to, it doesn't feel like a Hitman game. Second was because for some reason back in late 2012, early 2013 I couldn't wrap my head around the controls, the Instinct system, all that shit. However, hopping back into it, I was able to clear the final third in about 4 hours while still getting pretty high marks throughout. Not my favorite Hitman game, probably third in line, after Contacts, but before Silent Assassin, but still a really solid game otherwise.

I finished the Puzzle & Dragon Super Mario Bros Edition demo. It's not much I know, but it was my first exposure to P&D and it has me looking forward to the actual release of the bundle now.

I just beat GTA5 on the PC

84 hours clocked so far

Beat Lyn's story in Rekka no Ken. Now I'm on Eliwood.

This probably doesn't count as a full game, but I beat Dead Money, Old World Blues, Lonesome Road, The Pitt, and Mothershit Beta in Tale of Two Wastelands.
Dead Money is just too good to be a dlc. The Sierra Madre is hauntingly beautiful. The story behind how it became that way and the theme of letting go really touched me deep and I still don't really know why.

Just beaten Kirby: Triple Deluxe.

It's a good game overall. It doesn't really change up the core gameplay too much, but it does add a couple of new stuff that spices things up a bit, i.e. being able to switch between the foreground and background of the stage, how the levels are deigned around this mechanic, ect.

The bosses are all pretty fun. The last one ended in a pretty awesome way. I also really enjoyed the environments used for the levels. They are... well... dreamlike.

*slaps @Coster's knee*

What I kinda wished they did was bring back the super abilities from Return to Dreamland. Hypernova Kirby is fun and all, but I feel it's used a bit too much and I wish I got to use the super version of sword again.

Other then that, it's a solid Kirby game. Those who are looking for major new changes may be disappointed. But those who are simply looking for another fun Kirby game won't be disappointed.

Beat Wolfenstein: The Old Blood today. It was very enjoyable. Not as good as The New Order, but still a lot of fun.

I finally fucking beat Ikaruga without using any continues. It's such a difficult game, since you die in one hit, you start out with few lives, and you have to master the game's scoring system in order to reliably gain lives. In fact, to deal with the low amount of lives, I had to get all the way to the final boss without getting hit once just so that way I'd have lives to spare at that point of the game.

I FINALLY beat Assassin's Creed Unity. That includes the main campaign, all the Co-Op and Heist missions (did 'em solo), all the Rifts, all the Social Club side missions, and beat the shit out of the Dead Kings DLC, found all of Suger's puzzles, all the side missions in the DLC. I garnered 1015 Gamerscore or whatever Xbox calls it... and over and all... I didn't really care for the game. Eventually it got to the point where I'm visualizing in my head me punching down this game in a back alley, and hitting it some more just to make sure it isn't going to be walking out.

The main problem with the game is that it is waaaaaay overstuffed with extra pointless crap to do, and you literally can't start feeling like you can enjoy the game until you're like 3/4ths done with it. The game is decidely more based on the concept of sneaking, MUCH more than any Assassin's Creed game thus far, but you don't get any useful tools at your disposal unless you jump through extra hoops via Co-Op and play through campaign missions.

Some positive points however... when the stealth works and the parkour system isn't having you cling to every single wall, it's actually pretty fun. Some of the most enjoyable moments are easily when you have to sneak into a restricted area, and you begin my systematically take out the rooftop snipers like a purple Batman (who can pick your color in the game, I picked purple and gold because 3rd Street Saints Represent). Also, I really love the attention to the architecture the art team did with this. And Arno is definitely more of an interesting character than Edward and Conner were, although Edward was a ton more fun to play as.

So, that game done, onto the next... oh, my copy of Witcher 3 just arrived... well, time to disappear for a month.

I beat episode 4 of Doom for the first time today, so I've officially beaten Ultimate Doom. I feel accomplished.

I beat Xenoblade 3D a hour ago. Even after beating it multiple times, I still really enjoyed my time. The port is actually pretty good. Yes, the visuals are downgraded, and the frame rate drops when battles get crazy. It still has everything from the Wii game mostly intact and it plays well. If you have a New3DS, GET this game!

Been clearing out my downloaded games on my Xbox One recently. Would be playing Witcher 3, but it seems the Xbox One version likes to make any cinematics get all choppy... and I just can't spare to miss a single second of Geralt staring blankly at people and speaking in monotone.

So, busted through Old Blood and Outlast within the last week. I really adored WOlfenstein:TNO and the original Wolfenstein 3D, so playing the Old Blood was a complete treat for me. Hearing all the old enemy names and seeing re imagined versions of old baddies like Hans was awesome. Might play it again.

Outlast however was an okay game, but nowhere as amazing as all the reports from when it first came out made it seem. I dunno, maybe after playing games like Condemned and playing games like Oblivion as a stealth build, hiding in shadows and avoiding crazy people with lead pipes isn't that anymore. There were undoubtedly some tense moments, especially right at the beginning, but by the time I got to the courtyard halfway through the game, the game wasn't scary or tense anymore- just a lot of hiding and as soon as the enemy has their back turned, bolt for the next objective. Probably won't be playing this again, but at least it was an experience.

Just beat Saint's Row: Gat Out Of Hell. It was a lot more fun than I expected. I'm going back and getting the collectables now.

I beat Saints Row The Third today. I thought it was decent through not brilliant as SR2. I wished they kept the throwing aspect, and the variety of the city since there's very fews areas I remember. On the plus side, missions were fun despite being draggy at times. Now I just have to get the fourth game and its DLC.

Just beaten Thief: Gold with the Tfix patch.

I gotta say. I'm really impressed with this game. Between how shadows and noise affect the stealth, the vast array of tools you have at your disposal, like rope arrows to help you climb to higher areas, water arrows to douse torches, a blackjack to knock out guards instead of killing them, the large variety of missions there are, and various mission objectives given to you depending on difficulty, the game I feel was ahead of it's time.

Story wise, it seemed pretty interesting. Although I didn't catch 100% of what's going on. From what I've seen though the world of the game there seems to be a lot to it. Between the Hammers, corrupt nobles, ect.

It's a very good game and I definitely plan to play the sequel at some point.
