What game did you finish today?

Finished my second playthrough of Undertale to get the "true" pacifist ending. It made me feel things. I don't think I've thoroughly enjoyed a game nearly as much in a long time though. For a game made by (mostly) one guy, the amount of detail puts even Kojima to shame.

I know there's a "murder absolutely everything" route as well, but I dunno if I'm up for that.

And I finished Dead Money. I am never ever doing that ever again. I killed literally the only character I liked in that whole shit show, fucking Dean left me no choice man.*sigh* All in all, I think it was the best DLC other than OWB. It changed the whole dynamics on how the game was played and to be honest, that was pretty fun. It got frustrating due to shitty lighting, but fuck it, despite my opening remarks, I'll probably play it again in my next game. Have to learn how to save Dean somehow.

You can save Dean Domino by
not insulting his ego and avoiding being rude to him prior to entering the casino
Dean along with the rest cannot be convinced after that.

Something I really liked about Dean Domino is how you can find his portrait on the loading screens pre-Dead Money. Indicating he was planned to be in Dead Money from before the game released.

I'll be sure to remember that for the next game.

About your second point, if IRC isn't Dean just a fake character which they just used in Dead Money.

If you're saying he's fictional, yeah. I didn't mean to imply he was a historical character.

I mean they planned that shit ahead of time. You can find clues to all of the other DLC's in New Vegas. (Elijah is mentioned by Veronica, the Burned Man is mentioned constantly, the Big MT was originally a location in Black Isle's cancelled Fallout 3, and Ulysses was a cut party member who is mentioned frequently throughout both the vanilla game and it's DLCs. There are even clues to DLC's in other DLCs. Like how you can find evidence of Veronica and Ulysses both visiting the Big MT, and you can find a Sierra Madre poster in the Big MT)

All of this continuity made the DLC for New Vegas feel like one big story of multiple mutually exclusive parts that could be played in any order or not at all. Which was the goal of Obisidian with trying to make the DLC for the game, and I thought they succeeded very well.

What I meant is I thought Dean was sort of a character in the background of most Fallout games through posters and lore and shit,

I got to the Neutral Final Boss of Undertale last night and will be working on the True Ending tonight.

That boss was a lovely bit of nightmare to see at two in the morning, though.

Haha, I just finished the Genocide Route of Undertale today! It's one of my favorite games atm.
My favorite ending is the true pacifist ending. I love everything about it except for one part.

It's as great as Cave Story, which also has multiple endings and was made entirely by one sole guy

I finally got the last Steam Achievement for Sunless Sea, which involves discovering this nasty thing.

I completed Shovel Knight.

Now I'm working on the Plague Knight run.

Anyone recommend what to play after? I'd list my steam stuff but it'd take awhile...

P.S This thread tells me to get Undertale.

Why not just post your Steam profile?

I was on my iPod, I'm in a position to copy the list. I apologize in advance for the length (no lewdness intended).

This took too long to edit and type. Stuff I don't want to play or have recently completed isn't listed, but I've not removed stuff I'm clueless about.

Just beaten SMT: Nocturne again. Got both the Neutral and TDE endings.

Definitely appreciate this game a lot more.

Beaten Shadow Tower for maybe the third or fourth time. The more I went through it, the more I wondered how much of the Souls game took notes from both Shadow Tower and Kings Field, considering things you have such as an easy final boss, reusing a character for the sequel/related game, and just having an entire game that is nothing but the player and a ton of monsters ready to kill them.

Magicite. I broke down and had to look at a tactics thing about the last boss. I was under the impression that I needed to collect the ores (Creates projectiles) in the last level to defeat the scourge, but I didn't... So many wasted runs... :stress:

*sees everyone here playing indie titles* Ahhhmmm... hmm... hey everyone... l-look at what I made... just beat it yesterday...
