What game series have autistic fanbases?

One can admit it would be fun to have Gandalf in Lich King armor at your side or Ripley with a minigun and power armor. But then you get all these mods that can take the tism up a notch. I remember a chan post (can't link it since it's dead) on a 8chan TES board mentioning cringy mod shit just how many of the mods had animu tism in them, that is how many mods made loli characters, whether it's donut steel companions or changing an existing character to look like some neckbeard weebs wet dream.

I think everyone back in the day as a teenager loved going to a game they liked and modding themselves to be their favorite fictional character, as a bit of fun. But now with the modding fanbase in particular they've taken it to the point there's no real game, it's more like when you played with dolls as a kid and the He-Man doll was humping the Barbie doll and it was funny because you were a kid. But now we have 40 year old men spending their time trying to recreate that sort of thing in a game engine.

Baldur's Gate modders can be pretty spergy.

For every mod that adds interesting and thoughtful quests that fit in with the context of the game, there are two or three Mary Sue tier character mods where awful people insert their wildly OP OC who takes over the entire game and makes it revolve around them.

The biggest offender is of course Saerileth. A half celestial loli who literally fell from heaven, rips off Shakespeare, butts into every normal in game conversation, wangsts about how suffering and suchlike she is, romances the PC whether you like it or not, dies of actual heartbreak if you reject her, and has a character portrait stolen from one of those dubious Evony tier game adverts.

But at least there isn't a mod which gives you the option to rape your sister. Oh wait, step forward Imoen Romance!

Obviously Sonic fans take the gold medal in cringey behavior. Nothing tops Sonicfags.

That said WoW RP communities are cesspits. Obviously there's the infamous Goldshire ERP but you get into it and you see it's just a bunch of losers talking about how great their characters are while shitting on the other faction

The Sims fanbase is quite high in terms of the autism count. The thread in Community Watch about them comes to mind. Also, because of how death is a part of the game, it tends to attract people to making Sims, i.e. Sims based on real-life enemies, just for the purpose of killing them, as an escape mechanism or for other mental purposes.

EA driving the series into the ground with how TS4 is very limited compared to past Sims games, and because the mobile version of the game requires forking out tons of $$$ to get stuff, doesn't help in terms of the autism either, but just adds on to it. Not only has the fanbase been disappointed with the limitations, sometimes even ones of the oddest variety, i.e. no Dog Houses in the Cats & Dogs EP, but the community is divided at times between the people that actually like TS4, (which isn't a wrong thing by any means, but trashing the other 3 Sims games blindly is something else) and the people that hate it.

Also, because there hasn't been an actual competing Life Simulation game that has features similar to The Sims, compared to how SimCity 2013 flopping lead to the development of Cities Skylines as a viable and successful competitor to the city building genre, it means that EA can freely charge for pretty much everything, including features that should have been in the game at the start.

Dragon Age.

I've seen these faggots fabricate a story about a tranny (ftm) raping and jizzing on a girl's face with the cock he was supposedly born with. They then drove the perfectly reasonable guy out of the fandom.

Why?

He didn't like gay Alistair and dared to mention it when asked for his unpopular opinion.

There was also this chick with an asexual anthropomorphic Qunari Gore Magala oc she'd constantly draw in bunny suits. She'd basically harrass anyone who roleplayed as Dorian Pavus and threw a fit after an actual gay man wouldn't fuck her. Then proceeded to write a 'dark future' thing where her oc murders all the Qunari if he doesn't get to stick his dick in Dorian.

She'd always beg for smut too.

Nevermind the fact that Gores are babies and literally don't have dicks...

Whether its a favorite character or a donut steel, those along with mods pretty much turn a game that's suppose to be about saving the world from a red giant/black dragon into what can potentially be a magical realm for players. One thing I forgot to mention as examples in player mod autism: when it comes to searching for shit that can make you cringe, Skyrim is recent enough have someone make a mod that gives you a diaper.

Fallout fandom could also count as an autistic fandom. The old guard of Fallout 1 and 2 can have some autism in how they act towards the newer games, granted the new shit does suck when you look at things like story and moral choices (New Vegas excluded since that actually gotten a good writer). IIRC, someone here mentioned the autism of No Mutants Allowed in how it was to the newer Fallout games.

There's also autism within the fanbase of the newer Fallouts. Just take the modder/player example for TES and slap that onto Fallout. Fallout 4 is a good modern day example in knowing what sort of magical realm mods there are for it. A post from the Bethesda forums can give one that idea (guy asking for a diaper mod though some users are disgusted by his request). New Vegas and 3 don't get that much though.

Modding is only attractive to autists.
How else can the autist have their Sonic and ponies in their game of Skyrim? Thanks to Bethesda since the release of Morrowind, we manage to get some of the most autistic mods known to humanity.

Defeat for Skyrim. A whole mod platform based on raping people.

I'm pretty empathetic towards the situation with the old Fallout fanbase, on one hand imagine have to deal with a new set of fans that are outright hostile and ignorant towards Fallout in terms of lore, and anything Fallout related before Fallout 3. Every now and then I'll hop on to see what people have to say about the old Fallout games and it's just saddening to see people just say hurtful shit about them like the old school 2d graphics and how hard it is to them, I think it's just that for the average dedicated old guard of Fallout to hear shit like that makes it harder for them to be receptive of new comers, that and seeing Brony fucks tainting everything with their fucking cartoon mods and fanfic crossovers.

That can be another way to add to the autism of fans of the newer games. While it's one thing to simply not be much of a fan of how the old games played, it's another thing to see one sperg on how great the newer ones are just because they played differently like an FPS while the old ones feel "too hard" (something I could find funny if they simply couldn't just go with easy difficulty, small guns, and investing in 10 AG). Old Fallout is actually more interesting with its world since it didn't really rely too much on the 50's aesthetic. Towns in those games did give off more of a feeling of being in a wasteland.

Horse mods tainting the series can also be back by other autism. Something the old Fallout games were nearly free of (until some brony managed to actually add some horse from a fan fic to old Fallout in a mod).
