I did the same recipe but stove top Dutch oven, and immersion blended it. I halved the squash and roasted it first which makes peeling and cubing it much much easier. There’s so little coconut milk I didn’t notice a distinct taste, especially because it’s very well seasoned so it overpowers the coconut. I used it because a family member is vegan. Unluckily a wasp had stung me right square in the palm of my hand right before making the soup, making dicing onions and apples and squash much more uncomfortable. I also offered people either smoked paprika or nutmeg for a more savory or sweeter experience.Squash is on sale everywhere so I made some butternut squash soup for my grandma in my instant pot. I did use regular cream in place of coconut tard cum, I wondered what kind of odd flavor the coconut tard cum would add to the soup so I went for cream.![]()

It's such a bitch to find veal in my town unless I hit up a butcher yet I must always make schnitzel at least once a season. I've gone out of town just to score veal before.Since I scored some normally $15/# veal leg slices (yes I'm a monster) for $3/# I of course had to make wiener schnitzel. Turned out very well.
