Containment What If?

Do you mind if I ask where you live? Because in most western societies arranged / forced marriage is kinda illegal.
It's kinda depressing. Yeah its definitely illegal to travel to a country, talk to a family in poverty and offer to let their daughter marry your handsome and intelligent - yet temporarily sick - son. And then lock her passport and discourage people to learn her our langauge...or even english for that matter. Its been a couple of years now though and she'd defend her husband and family in law to the death now. We're in South America, where family means more than personal happiness.

I doubt he would get past the front door of any establishment in which a party is being held. His costume is way too terrifying.

He'd be the guest of honour in my party.

Dunno if this has been brought up before, but what if Chris was born elsewhere with the same kind of mentality but faced against a different culture?

It seems really easy to say that Chris would be better off outside the individuality and pervasive permissiveness of 21st-century American culture, and I can kinda see where that would come into play, especially in regards to daily structure and, in certain cultures, the strong presence of family. That latter point as it relates to Chris is very interesting to me, because it's such a modern and peculiarly American idea that we can now choose who our families are (as ably proved by Cole Smithey, the Chandlers, the Westons, the Wynns, et al.), all much to the chagrin of the 14 BC residents. In other cultures, Chris's extended family - while perhaps not waiting on him and his problems hand and foot - would at least not be able to wash their hands of him as easily as the above-named examples.

The flip side of that coin, though, as you say, would be for Chris to live in a culture that not only refuses to acknowledge any aneurotypicality, but would also punish him for failing to keep up or fit in.

What if...... Michael Snyder and his children comes to Chris Rental house for Halloween?

Also, what will they wear?

This shit happens everywhere. Definitely happens here in Britain, albeit strictly off-the-record. I'm not entirely surprised that she'd adapt to that environment, people adapt to all sorts of crazy circumstances when they're immersed in them. That's why cults try to keep their members out of the real world, and why abusive spouses don't like their partners seeing people outside the relationship

I think Chris would love the concept of an arranged marriage. Literally all the work is done for him and she'd have no choice but to put up with his shit (literally and figuratively).

Snyder's kids must be too old for trick-or-treating, now, and thank goodness for that, given this scenario....

Also, what will they wear?

They would wear looks of sheer horror upon realizing who it was answering the door.

Zing!

I doubt they would use him as a test subject, also do you think Chris would travel for anything other than Lego, Games an China. It would sound to much like work to him anyway.
He'd be into it, but the money wouldn't cover the cost of the gas for him to drive out there.

He wouldn't get in because he's a fat shit.

When groups do medical testing. They are only interested in the average.

Alright, lets say the drug trial was for an autism cure.
One of the scientists had saw Chris online and so impressed was he at the sheer amount of autism Chris displays through his shit-caked archives online, the scientist offered to fly him out, put him in a hotel room and pay him $3000 to test the pill... and it worked. What if chris was cured of autism?

Chris would probably think it was a troll ruse, stress sigh, shit himself and go back to his Lego.

But if Chris was cured of autism, then he'd be the darling of the medical world for about a week, then he'll just go back home, shit himself and do nothing

What if Chris decided to camouflage his balding by wearing his hair in Chinese queue or a samurai's chonmage?

What if Chris discovered that he can be paid to take part in medical trials?
It'd probably take him too far out of his comfort zone. Those things require very strict conditions - diet, rest, exercise and so forth are strictly monitored, and that would cause him STRESS.
That's assuming he qualified. He's such a mess of different conditions, there's no way he'd be selected.
