What makes you angry?

My mother is insisting I have diabetes or an ulcer. Her line of thinking is 1) I say things make me sick (like "Oh, that McDonald's near Blah made me sick, it's not very good,") 2) I was sick because I gambled and lost on foodcourt food when we went to the mall and 3) I had some stomach problems when I got down for the weekend. That's it. Keep in mind, the first two things have been spaced out over the span of months and it isn't like I just shove food into my gullet and then projectile vomit five seconds after.

She thinks it may be an ulcer because of stress (which she says is mostly my fault and what isn't my fault I imagine). Diabetes is up in the air, because I'm sometimes lazy and can be lethargic and have no energy because of depression (which she says isn't real, either). But she won't believe doctors when they tell her shit, like the fact that she has diabetes, oh no, they just want her fucking money. I'm at a loss.

The poorly made argument that if you use a source from a think tank or website that has a different ideology than the one that you subscribe to that it makes you right-wing or left-wing annoys me to no end. The focus should be on how well the argument stands on its own and being able to verify that it's true rather than making bold statements that if you ever quote Hayek or Keynes that you're some evil eugenicist or Pinochet supporter because you did that. Frankly it also borders on character assassination and ad hominem fallacies resorting to using that kind of argumentation against your opponent.

The underlying idea there is that the source itself is haram and that you should not even be familiar with the works of an "evil" source like Austrian economics or, for that matter, even Milton Friedman.

There are a lot of popular economic fallacies flying around all along the political spectrum, and it makes sense to be familiar with at least the basic tenets of the major schools of economics, even if you don't agree with them. For one thing, their shared elements represent the fundamentals of the area of study. Nobody seriously disagrees with, for instance, the general principle of the law of supply and demand. The word "law" in an otherwise soft science implies this.

Also if you're actually arguing to persuade rather than just troll people with shit that will piss them off, it's nice to be able to cite sources they actually respect and won't just automatically ignore. Of course, many will still pull out another favorite fallacy, the "even the Devil can quote Scripture" one.

Snarky hipsters and other left wing fucks that have to post "happy genocide day!" and other shit like that on social media every Thanksgiving. Just shut the fuck up and enjoy the holiday, not everything has to be used to push Tumblr's agenda.

Same here. Like it's fine to acknowledge the tragedy of what Native Americans went through, but don't be a fucking buzzkill when most people just want to enjoy the holiday.

It's funny how they all bitch about Thanksgiving "being about Native American genocide", yet they cream themselves over Halloween (despite the racist/sexist costumes). While Halloween was meant to be a day for the dead (at least after Christians took it from pagans), most people don't even celebrate it for that reason anymore.

On another note, Facebook comments make me angry, mainly because it baffles me how people can be so nasty.

8 and 10 (i need to use multiple workstations that are not mine for work)

I don't have much experience with 8 bit with 10 you can set your internet/network connection to be metered. Then it won't download updates until you set it to be unmetered or until you get to a window you can set that'll give it permission to download and update all it wants, like at night after you're in bed.

In normal life, the biggest source of anger for me is insufferable people who cannot relate with anyone's grievances or see anyone else's point of view. Some days I am just ungodly pissed, and these people can really push that edge (not that I would really do something).

You must really hate people with no working theory of mind then.
