As the title says what policies, laws, or social reforms do you think should be put in place to stop mass shootings in America?

Armed security at any place likely to be targeted. Remove all gun restrictions so anyone in any place might have a concealed handgun and criminals won't be able to tell ahead of time if they do or not. Possible exceptions for very specific controlled environments like airplanes, where you actually have a system already in place to stop any guns from getting on board at all.
Someone else said no more gun-free zones, this is essentially the answer. Any place where a shooter knows there is likely to be no one else with a gun, is a ripe target. If a place will probably have other people around with guns it's much less of a target. It's less likely that someone will bother to even try and if they do, they will be stopped before they can kill a large amount of people. This is even more so the case if the people carrying in said location are concealing their weapons so a potential shooter wouldn't even know who they are.
Agreed, armed civilians seem like the best way to protect people. A guy in Indiana was able to stop a mass shooter since he had his gun on him.No gun-free zones allowed unless the owners of said zone provide armed security and actually check people entering for weapons would be a decent start.
It'd stop the mass shootings, but you'd have a new problem where everybody would have to negotiate every little thing in life while having a gun pointed at them and it'd be a mess...Arm EVERYONE.
And this is a good thingeverybody would have to negotiate every little thing in life while having a gun pointed at them
I dunno man, my draw game isn't good enough to be confident in every single interaction...And this is a good thing
Inefficient, at best. What we have now at worst. And when the Feds are the ones cutting the checks, they can also make sure certain "mental illnesses" get priority for treatment, in addition to lobbying for certain things to get taken off the DSM (like they did with gender dysphoria). I would not trust the Feds with any sort of healthcare, let alone mental health services. What do you guys think of the government funding mental health programs? At first I was for it, but then I realize it would be a massive glowie honeypot.
