What should be done to stop mass shootings?

I think what causes this issue is the unwillingness to compromise.

If nobody has guns there can be no mass shooting. (Hard to accomplish and etc.)

If everyone has guns then the shooter gets shot. (Hopefully before he can kill too many.)

The problem is that you have some people with guns and some people without them.

Like, regardless on what your stance on guns is that is the problem.

Whole country has to pick one and stick to it, and because this will never happen mass shootings will never stop.

Legally prosecute anti-social behavior, take all the neets, incels, and virgins and make being that a crime. When a third of our country isn't having sex and still lives with their moms they pose a significant security threat to society. They have nothing to lose, they are the type of people who see no difference between murder and suicide.

It'd stop the mass shootings, but you'd have a new problem where everybody would have to negotiate every little thing in life while having a gun pointed at them and it'd be a mess...
You say that like it's a bad thing...

2. Stop letting women influence government and society outside the household.

Not even then.

Results indicated that mothers show more favorable attitudes toward sadness and anger expression by girls versus boys. Fathers showed no preference in either IAT, suggesting a lack of bias about the expression of sadness and anger. Mothers’ performance on IATang was negatively associated with supportive sadness socialization and positively associated with unsupportive sadness and anger socialization. Findings suggest that mothers, but not fathers, may possess gender-related implicit biases about emotion expression in children, with implications for socialization practices.

The thing that struck me most about this image is that it's exactly what I'd expect to see with one glaring exception.

Who is this guy? He seems so out of place here

Happened all the time in the West. People tended to be more polite when you could potentially have a bullet lodged in your throat.

No, it didn't. Wyatt Earp confiscated firearms upon entry into Tombstone Arizona.
You do realize that means people coming into town were armed? And just might interact outside of town, Usually without shooting each other?

Don't go out, everything you buy from the internet and is sent to your house.

What do you guys think of the government funding mental health programs? At first I was for it, but then I realize it would be a massive glowie honeypot.
Not to mention that political abuse of psychiatry is a huge use of it. Especially in seriously repressive regimes.

At best, it's only an avenue through which to sell you drugs.

I have a serious answer though.

Stop making people who do that kind of thing famous. The TV people always have to post the dude's face, name, and life story freaking everywhere for weeks. Any time it happens, or so it seems.

Personally I think CNN wants school shootings because they help sell ad space. But you didn't hear that from me. Free Puppy Giveaway Hour doesn't exactly have the same effect you know.

The Herostratus effect is a huge reason why they do it. Firearms in their current state have existed for well over a century (for the most part) but the glorification of school shooter types is a comparatively recent phenomenon.

And the fuckers all want to be the next Eric Harris. Poor Dylan, nobody cares about him.

I'm really interested as to who that woman is in the second row. I'm guessing GF accomplice to one of the other guys.

Something else I find frustrating is when people say "oh these guys were known to the FBI, must have been a false flag / glow op or whatever."

It's pretty hard to take someone's guns away if they are just talking about a shooting. Sure you could show up at their house but they can just say they were being edgy and then what do you do? If they've never had another run in with the law it is hard to claim that they are a terrorist or something. The alternative is giving the FBI waaaay more power to snatch innocent people's guns based on a hunch, and I doubt anyone here wants that.

Honestly, just make guns more widely available. It's inevitable that criminals will be able to get their hands on guns in a country like the USA. The USA has both a porous border with a corrupt narco state that funnels in guns just like does drugs and illegal immigrants, and federal agencies that have a track record of encouraging mentally ill individuals of all flavours (such as incels, wignats, commies, and jihadists) to commit terror attacks for their own gains, so total disarmament is impossible.
Also the sheer incompetence of American police ensures that relying on them to keep you alive is like deciding to hold a ship together with sellotape, with officers that will sit around on their phones doing nothing while an active shooter kills civilians. And that's assuming the response time isn't measured in hours, like it is in most of the country. The only person you can truly trust to protect yourself is, well, yourself.
