All 3 of these games have bad gameplay and poor writing. If Veilguard was well written it could have shat DEI all over the place and it wouldn't have mattered. You can have good story with DEI deeply embedded into it like Life is Strange.

The poor writing was the DEI though. That’s what you don’t seem to get. You can’t have good writing and DEI, because good writing requires an organic approach. Last information on Stellar Blade sales was from June last year, when it was reported that it sold a million copies, which is not that high for a modern AAA game. Wukong, though, is a success, China strong, China - number one!
All the other IPs have flopped. Like Skull and Bones and Immortals of Aveum, neither of them were known to be particularly woke, its just that nobody could care enough to play them. Cause most AAA games are some variation of action + open world + life service, and if you've already sunk a lot of time into one life service, it's not likely you will want to switch and lose everything you've been meticulously grinding or buying with real money.

Sorry for the double post but I just gotta get this one last point on the KCD 2 issue out there, then I'll probably never talk about this game again.

My main issue with the whole controversy is the way the devs try to hide the changes made to the game. Like I didn't care about Baldur's Gate 3 having gay shit in it, because they were always upfront about it, they even showed it off at a press event. They said this is what the game is, we're proud of it and if you like it, buy it.

But in KCD2s situation they tried to hide all of that shit, and that makes the whole thing seem disingenuous, like they just threw it in there because they were pressured to do so and are now ashamed of it. Like if the last game had homosexual relationships in it, or if they had talked about it in a demo like "hey, we got some feedback, we've heard you and decided to add male love interests into the game." I wouldn't have an issue with it because it wouldve been upfront for the customer to see. But they didn't do that, because they didn't want people to know about it until the game released. It just seems real shady to me, and it's like a rug pull for anyone that defended the last game for its controversial decisions.

I just want to retract my previous statement due to recent controversy (look familiar dipshit) and say fuck these devs fully and completely, I will never buy a thing they had a hand in.

But, like you said, AssCreed has ALWAYS had a very blatant pro-Muslim and anti-Christian interpretation of history and a pro-atheism, anti-theism (le enlightened "everything is permitted, nothing is true" Assassins, an ethos worthy of Rick and Morty, against the deist Templars).

There's plenty of "elegant" ways to include unconventional women that existed outside of social strictures of the time, and if you wanted to feature female assassins, you'd lean into the social/seduction aspect instead of turning them into 21st century girlbosses.
