What Virus protection, if any, do you use?

Normally I don't have any running at all and i run MBAM every couple months or so. Getting viruses is more about being dumb than not having protection.

Used AVG many years ago, but switched to Avast and I even put it on my parent's computer because they're boomers.

I used Microsoft Security Essentials on XP/7, but starting with Windows 8 it was built into defender itself. Since 8 I have run nothing on my machine.

Just for Shits n Giggles I scan the drive once a year with a plethora of scanning software, has been over 6 years now and not once have I gotten anything.

Smart browsing does more then any AV software, and the advent of adblockers that automatically block ad networks (which were the primary means of infection for many years) practically guarantee freedom from infection unless you are a complete tard.

I run the TailsOS with adblock on the browser. If I have to look at something fishy I'll turn on Sophos.

Malwarebytes. I bought the license back when it was dirt cheap and apparently that price stuck. Neato.

I know this is a joke but deep down, I'm not sure.

I use Norton on my personal computer because I'm too cheap and lazy to use anything else, plus I'm almost never on it.
Otherwise, I use my work computer, which has whatever service the company provides.

Security essentials with the occasional Malwarebytes scan. If I go somewhere shady, I just use my Linux laptop

Have you some sort of death wish? If you insist on using windows (I assume you are), then the inbuilt virus/trojan etc is OK. But you might consider linux. Not much better, but a little. Folks may disagree.
