What's the rarest game you own?

Not so much rare, but i have an autistic amount of copies of Steins;Gate.
You wanted multiple copies of the pins didn't you?

I have a bunch of somewhat rare games ($80+) but the rarest one I own is probably Rule of Rose.

I don't know if this counts as a rare game compared to King's Field: Ancient City but does Shenmue count as a rare game? I bought the first Shenmue at a swapmeet earlier today for a $1. Everything seems to be there, the case, 4 cd's, and the manual. If it's not rare, then disregard what I said.

I dunno if Shenmue is so much "rare" as "moderately valuable".

Shenmue probably wasn't as common a Dreamcast game as Sonic Adventure or Crazy Taxi back in the day, but I still remember Shenmue being a lot more easy to find in stores than, say, Skies of Arcadia.

But, yeah, if you got it complete for $1, that's a freaking bargain, considering used copies usually sell for at least $30 on eBay.

I've got the Legend of Zelda Collector's Edition that came with the Gamecube. Not sure how much it's worth, since a guy at a local game store said that it'd only go for a lot of money if it had the original instruction book, which I cut images out of as a kid. Not that I'd wanna sell it or anything. I'm sure it'd be the biggest mistake of my life if I sold it.

A friend of mine also gave me Super Smash Brothers Melee as a gift sometime between '07 and '09.

I don't buy too many expensive video games. I have the first Resident Evil for the Playstation, which I got for five bucks a few years ago.

I have Ultima 5 and Legacy of the Ancients originals on 5.25 floppies for the c64 :neckbeard:

I used to have Ultima IV on 5.25" floppy, with the four disks on both sides of two floppies. They were sold as single sided but you could make them double sided by cutting a notch out of them.

Now you can get those early Ultimas on GOG for free.

IV and V were the best, too (aside from UOL)

I forgot all about this. I have the original Project Diva for the psp, Japanese only, the same year it came out(2009) from Japan. I'm pretty sure, while not the most uncommon, is pretty uncommon at this point. I think the disc is out of my psp, so i could always take a picture for proof later.

EDIT: Ok I lied, I also own Project Diva Extend from Japan as well and that shit runs over 100+ dollars on amazon trying to get it. Would've thought the original would be more rare here, but no, it's the extended version! :dove:

Rearranging some physical copies of games I own, I stumbled upon my NES copy of Wizardry 1. That might count as rare but then again I could be wrong, especially if there are more copies of that than there were for its original version.

Syndicate for SNES

There was a recall over the game, it got pulled off the shelves but Big Mama managed the deli at a Fred Meyers so a stock boy slipped her a copy.

Other than that nothing, really.

Idk, I hear several rumblings about rare games, but I'm not sure which ones are the most rare.
Here are a few I have that people have alerted me are uncommon:

Original Black Label of Castlevania: Symphony of the Night
Original Black Labels of Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy VIII
Original Black Label of the PS1 version of Valkyrie Profile.
Original Gamecube version of Pikmin 2
