I saw a lot of this in 2103-16 and i didnt think much of it; I saw it mostly online and assumed it was internet stuff. A few years later; I started to hear about the prolific troons (wu, yaniv, Lucas, the tranch) through YT streams like Deadwing, MATI, etc,. and it made me ask "how many of these people were sincere?", I learned of Chris' 'transition' - that was a tipping point. it made me ask why even harder. As more of these people began to show up on the internet; it seemed to me more like a trend to get on or a grift, as many do seem to seek money online instead of working hard for it, like real men or women do. was it so they could live easier, as they perceived women getting softer treament form society and less expectaion to work as hard?
Each question made me more confused - I had a gut feeling this was off, something didn't feel right about it. I leanred how often child molesters, sex criminals are reliving past traumas, and that hit something in me. so now i was wondering how much was mimicry or bandwagoning, and how much was just trauma passing iteslf on - kind of like how the Reavers from Firefly increased their numbers by traumatizing a victim and leaving them a 'survivor', but did they survive, or was a new person made from that action? With more and more lesbians coming forward with stories of how 'rapey' trans women were, and the frequency they get ignored or called TERFs and Bigots astonished me, almost more than when their allegations were tossed to the wayside like a spent condom. Then the social media posts and articles about how bigoted it was no to have sex with a womn with a penis was, it seemed more like a smear maneuver to remove dissenters and victims, kinda fucked IMO.
Now here we are, many of these 'people' are for some reason or another trying to spearhead initiatives to fight 'hate speech', 'bigotry', and 'invalidation'. The powers that be; excited at the prospect of disposable 'usfeul idiots' seemed happy to give them platforms across media - case in point the wired article about Lucas and the Farms, in which they fail to point out how Lucas' tactics are on par if not worse than some of the worst a-logs, trolls, etc,. on the net let alone the Farms. where this goes - i wish i could tell you, but it doesn't look good for people who like online anonymity; now being painted as the safe haven of those dang dirty trolls and a-logs, everyone will forget that real journalists and whistleblowers need it much more and inevitably destroy it for everyone.
