It seems like people are basically assigning blame down party lines, which isn't really too surprising, but people seem kind of short on an actual justification for their views that would actual hold up in a debate.

I'd throw this on Trump and the Republicans myself, but I also don't think the border wall would actually do anything in the first place.

The American people elected Donald Trump on a platform of decreased immigration from countries known to harbor terrorists, a big, beautiful wall, better trade deals, and a shot in the arm for the rust belt.
