Borb. Barb probably never truly cared but Bob at least tried, at least a little bit to make him a better person, to teach him about independence and the world. When all he cared about was electric hedgehog pokemon he gave up. He was old and tired, we can't entirely blame him, however little he tried. Barb sat there, filling her house with useless shit and refused to help chris when he truly needed a slap and a speech.

The trolls didn't make him self mutilate, they just made fun of the fact that he doesn't have a vagina. While that's highly insensitive by itself the fact that Chris was so upset by this that he thought the best way to deal with it was to slice himself open speaks a lot as to his mental state. Trolls had a part to play in that, but I feel Chris's issues go way beyond that and the roots of his gender problems stretch back a long ways.

By Modern CWC, do you mean compared to the golden age of Sonichu?

If so, the internet as a whole was a major factor. After he got famous and people started to contact him, he was moving away from his roots. I doubt he would be better without the trolls but he would be tamer

I agree and this is just a discussion, it is not like Chris has not experienced the trans thing before, the first time was when he wanted to become Carlos Chantor (transracial) after hanging with his buddy Josh and realizing he gets all da ladies because he is attractive, hispanic, and muscular. The only reason the Carlos thing did not last for so long is because it was obvious that Chris is neither hispanic, attractive, muscular or good with either English or Spanish. The Tomgirl thing is vague enough to work because transgender is such a broad term that Chris does not have to worry about living up to any physical or societal stereotype.

I do not think Karen is trying to imply someone trolled Chris into trying to fail at transitioning, we all know that when Chris gets some autismal idea, he just runs with it and never lets it go until reality hits him in the face with a shovel. The danger lies in people intentionally lying to Chris to tell him that he is a stunning and brave transgender woman and then setting him up for failure by laughing at him because he does not have a vagina. There is no doubt in my mind that Chris was passively influenced by society into all this Tom-Girl BS. This is the same person that demands sex from women after being told that they are just friends. It's not that much of a stretch to think that Chris saw a television program about a middle-aged white couple, who turned into lesbians after the husband transitioned into a woman. Or that someone told him that he might have some luck with lesbians because he is trying to dress the part, anyway.

Although Chris was already cross-dressing, remember that Chris made his big announcement about his transgender lesbian female soul within weeks to days of Catherine messaging him over a dating site. We all know that Chris is not very complex and the simplest explanation is usually the truth.

I think you have to understand his motives to begin with. I agree that Chris does have some gender issues, he did not self-mutilate out of dysphoria. When Chris is caught in a lie, his first instinct is to cover up that lie with another one.

Chris wouldn't most likely have been the most successful or pleasant individual in any case but fundamentally he is fucked in the head because his parents neglected to address his problems and enabled him acting out his worst traits. I'd also fault the state because I think social services should catch these cases. But if he had had therapy and learned basic life skills he wouldn't have had to deal with the trolls, or at least he would have dealt with them much better.

The 'Semen Recyling' is one area where the state could potentially take some blame. Somewhere the education system he went through has failed if it lets someone graduate high school thinking that drinking your own semen will help maintain your sperm count. Not even sex education but basic human anatomy classes should have shown him that was wrong.

You could of course say that even the best curriculum couldn't guarantee someone with problems like Chris is going to learn from it. This makes me think again to his education which ultimately was decided by his parents. Maybe a specialist school would have let Chris ask all these weird growing-up questions he had, as well as given him more coping mechanisms and post-school support.

But then maybe Bob and Barb thought that Chris really could thrive in a mainstream setting and would have been held back in a specialist school. Maybe they thought a specialist school wouldn't take care of him while they just wanted to let him be 'normal'. He did get into college after all, which must have made him appear 'normal' to them even though he ultimately had problems there too. They gambled that through mainstreaming his problems would iron themselves out.

The fact that they moved home to avoid the possibility of Chris going to a specialist school definitely places a large portion of responsibility on the parents, even if they had good intentions (to them) in doing so. Such a school environment could have set him on a completely different path for understanding and living with his autism and could have set him up better for life beyond.

I weight The trolls more because of the girlfriend sagas. I know Chris knows a few were trolls but how many does he still think are legit? It's like a significant chunk of his life exists in an alternate reality individual to himself and managed by trolls.
 
One of the greatest trolls for Chris is the state, they have allowed him to be a lazy pathetic individual who squanders what little money he has because he didn't have to work for it. If Chris had managed to keep a part time job going he would've had a decent chance at life, the working world would've taught Chris not to be an exceptional individual. He would've interacted with other human beings on a daily basis and possibly found himself in a long term relationship. The toys and are other things he has collected are merely a substitution for the above.

As usual it's a mixture of everything, but primarily on the guy who provided the forum an opportunity to make this icon: :stupid:

Also the identity of the only guy who's going to improve the situation so CWC is cooked as a result.
