I feel like it's due to the fact that when anything comes up involving rights for same-sex couples, trans people show up chimping out over how it's not about them.
Like the ones saying it's not enough that the US Supreme Court ruled banning same sex marriage as unconstitutional, even though there's not much more you can do for trans people regarding marriage, and they weren't included in the scope of the court case, anyway.
They totally forget about the fact that if you want something done, you better do it yourself, and expect the rest of the LGBT community to do everything for them AND prop them up as the most special since they're the most oppressed.
