Why China is a failed state?

Unironically, the CCP. They encourage a culture of greed, deception, and shoddiness that would make a Jew green with envy. The only reason China as is has tottered along for as long as it has is because of Henry Kissinger's "let's befriend the Chinese" policies, and rampant corporate espionage from Western companies.

It's not. Granted, it mas many shortcomings and is still a developing country by all means, but they aren't going anywhere any time soon. China has found its niche in it's way of spreading a sphere of influence through trade and diplomacy with the broader third world, marketing off of vague anti-wastern sentiments in these countries (especially in Africa). If it holds up then this project will pay off dividends for them. However if it fails like it did in Sri Lanka then, yes, China will probably become a failed state.

You say that while falseflagging as a fence sitter
Dunno why contempt for douchebag bureaucrats cheating the system to fuck me over has to somehow be mutually exclusive along ethnic lines.
Beijing and DC could get randomly nuked by Russia tomorrow and, as Churchill put it, I'd at least make a favorable reference to the devil.

You can say a lot about their society or their people, but the country itself is doing okay

Wouldn't call it a failed state. They're enjoying a lot of economic growth and global influence. Much of it might be bubbles propped up by government subsidies, but that's the way China is. They still have the advantage of giving zero fucks about people or the environment, so they can get an advantage in any new market by making things cheaper first and worry about the ecological impacts later. All the corners they cut before can be dealt with later. If a few buildings collapse before their time or a few thousand workers die in unsafe conditions, it doesn't really matter.
A dystopian hellhole, yes, but I think it's approaching "too big to fail" at this point.
