Why do you rate things the way that you do?

I like the informative rating. I kinda give it out liberally whenever applicable for "the more you know" moments. I feel like the powerlevel rating is overused personally so I try not to use it (especially when someone is giving info from an experience standpoint instead of confessing something silly or stupid).

I know it's ultimately meaningless but I think the rating system is pretty fun.

Eh I usually don't give out negative ratings unless someone is genuinely being a cunt or too autistic to function otherwise I just ignore slightly spergy posts. That being said I usually rate just about every post I read. If any of you lovable autists want to farm positive ratings just post a lot in threads I frequent.

Also I don't use thoughtful that much because I don't really understand what it is tbh.

I tend not to rate disagree or dislike, because I tend to just scroll past opinions that I disagree with. Unless someone is being obnoxious, disagreement is usually not cause for me to dumb or autistic someone. Autistic to me has meant more like “you’re obsessing over a minor detail or taking something too seriously.”

Islamic content I use more since I don’t have the horrifying or deviant rating, and winner since I don’t have Semper Fi or Drink.

Wow, congratulations! You've succeeded where others have failed: you got all ratings!

He's missing quite a few, actually. I only ever saw one post with ALL the ratings and that was Chris-chan's freak out last post.

(Edit: Just checked, nope; he was missing "press 1" and "press 2" and "nice meme", so I guess I've never seen one with EVERY rating. Does it even exist?)

Anyway, I just use them.... as intended. Pretty basic. I don't do many ironic ratings.

When I first came on here, I erroneously gave powerlevels to some people thinking that it was a good thing, like speeding through a game.

I typically don't 'dislike' or 'disagree' something unless I *really* do.

Even though 'Islamic content' is like a downvote, I use it often, in part because I don't have 'horrifying' to give.

When I was first lurking, I thought the A-log rating (When it was still called that) were positive and given to "Angry" shitposts and not people who genuinely hated a Lolcow enough to make a copypasta-grade textwall to show how mad they were.

It feels like it took me forever to grasp the power-level rating as well. When I first started lurking, I thought it was "OOH, LEVEL UP POST" or something good like that, haha.

I give a lot of :feels: ratings because I just have so many feelings
I rated you drink, so you can numb your feelings, but also as a “cheers” which is like a super-feels “I’ll drink to that” because I really feel where you are coming from about so many feelings. *feels*

And I’m drunk and drowning out feels IRL.
*drink*

I don’t recall giving any ratings, but I obviously have. The only explanation I can think of is that I was drunk and on my phone going nuts. I have accidentally given ratings, but I immediately undo them since I think they’re silly. So it’s one explanation or the other.

Edit: and by “silly” I mean incredibly queer

If someone starts chimping out about a specific rating or ratings in general, you should always rate them whatever they're chimping out about to see what they do.
I hate the trophy achievement sticker tbh. I’d be pissed if some mod/supervisor/staff gave me one.
